Interesting comments from a Leicester player co-commenting on the game against West Ham. His point was that playing away gave the team a bit more freedom as he thought a bit of antagonism? (I forget he word he used) between the home fans and the team had developed. He said it was due to the fans disagreeing with the tactics of playing out from the back when the team were obviously following the managers directions. It didn’t help them in this game though.

RvN is just useless. He was terrible at PSV. They were mad to give him the job in the first place.

I think it's a fair point with playing away from home where the fans are fully behind their team and less hyper critical of mistakes that might be met with moans and groans at home. So yes, lifting the fear of making mistakes and in many cases being the underdog playing against home advantage.
One of the reasons it was probably a good idea to give Charlie Crew his debut away from the Eco where he wouldn't be under the same microscope.

We can demand the best our players can give in an encouraging manner, but some need to remember that these are League 2 players at the end of the day. It isn’t going to look like Match of the Day highlights. That negative energy seeps on to the pitch and can manifest as doubt in the player’s minds.
I’ve sat all around the ground this season and will avoid the south west corner where the nutter has it in for Molyneux tomorrow.

Yes but he’s handsome, famous and Dutch. Steve Cooper may have kept them up but he’s none of those things.

Some of the decision making at Premier League clubs is just beyond belief, West Ham were always asking for trouble letting Moyes go and got what they deserved and whoever allowed DeGea to leave on a free at United and sign a clown to replace him needs sanctioning

Sacking cooper was absolutely ridiculous. He’s a bloody good manager. I watched the game last night and it was one of the worst performances from a premiership team I have ever seen. No fight and no quality. I think they only committed 5 fouls the entire game. RVN totally out of his depth.

Cooper was never fully accepted at Leicester after his exploits with their close 'friends' at Forest. The moment a downturn came, he was done for.
Then the RvN appointment on the back of a very short stint polishing the t*rd that is currently Man U. Bad appointment after doomed appointment and now they stare relegation in the face, deservedly.

Not sure I understand fans never wanting a manager because he worked for a rival. Fair enough if he’s always talking shite about your club but if it was just honest competition then it doesn’t matter. I’d just want the best person for the job

A lot of sense in those words Baz.
However there is no surprise really is there that fans of the home team criticise players more so than when the team is playing away.
Generally, fans who travel away are the more diehard types and are more likely to get behind the team.
