Signed as a replacement for Gibson btw and took 9 games before anyone realised he was a striker.

His control for balls played up to / at him is superb, especially when taking them on the move. Ironside is very good but it tends to be static with his back to goal. Street can take ball while running at defences. Quite a rare skill at this level. He’s good.

He's going to give us a chance of top 3.

It's the mobility he has that's key. Doesn't allow teams to sit in against us like they were. He's been a great signing so far.

Runs behind stretching defenders. Gibson, Iron/Sharp, Moly all show to feet all the time. Makes it to easy to defend against as you say.

Totally agree with this like Adelakun did as hound mentioned above.

Overall it's just great to enjoy watching the games again and see the joy in my little lads face when the goals went in and that bug slowly getting him at 5 years old is amazing.

You really don’t need to tell us this every time he has a good game.

Let’s just enjoy him firing us to promotion. Brilliant signing.

Signed as a player that can play across the front line, all three, more mobile than current strikers, who was given 9 games to prevent him from replacing them, several fickle fans on here was slating GM for signing him.

That’s the thing, he can’t play across the front line. Like the way they said that about Yeboah when he signed. Need to realise exactly that we are signing, it’s all a bit guessy with us.

He was excellent today. Ball control is awesome. He brings the physicality of Ironside with the finesse of Sharp. While Joe is often seen wrestling with defenders, Street leaves them in the dust.

No way he was signed as a replacement for gibson .
He was signed as a striker, and he's only been played accross a front 3

Then why were all of his initial games starting on the left in place of Gibson?

That’s Joe’s game and it helped Adelakun. He’s still the best striker in the air at the club IMO.

This year it’s just the centre forward who makes the runs in behind rather than the left winger.

Anyway, I bet Lincoln are kicking themselves over Street, he’s quality. They’ve struggled for goals all year and never gave him a look in.

It wasn't in place of gibson, it was part of a squad rotation until gibson hit some form. To say we signed a loan player to replace one of our own players is ridiculous.

Great day for Street.
Just glad we have a striker facing the goal and bludgeoning towards it, before and not letting the opposition get organised.
Moved the ball so much quickly today, no fannying around, great performance against a real bogey team.

It’s about time he showed up !!

6 goals in 10 league games, and the only striker in the team who can get behind defences, and you reckon he's not been showing up.

What on Earth have you been watching?

His running in behind made a real difference. It created space for others and we looked like we were always going to create chances.

Even that does him a disservice given 5 of those league games have been as a sub. He’s scored 6 goals in 517 minutes, the equivalent of better than a goal every 90. As a comparison Moly has a record of a goal every 226 minutes, Sharp every 235 minutes & Ironside every 434 minutes (league only).

If Lincoln don’t want him, and we go up, do we stand a chance of a permanent signing in the summer.?

Possibly,Getting to be a habit, taking their players on loan and getting the best out of them isn't it.
Thing is, Lincoln are currently in League one and we League two, even after the fantastic form of Adelukan he still only got another League two club after the end of last season.

This is getting boring.

Just try to enjoy his contribution and quit the negative rubbish.

Street will be. crucial in Run In, getting us goals and points for automatic promotion, which otherwise we may not have got. If he keeps up current form, it would be excellent if we could sign him on a permanent in the Summer.

One important stat overlooked is the importance of the goals, scoring a hatrick after your team is 3 nil up doesn't change the outcome, 3 of robs goals have been winning goals, so he's a proper game changer..

Yawn.

His pace & physicality make him a real handful for defenders.

He gives us a credible outlet for the long kick from Ted, we can now mix the short ball with the long when called for.

His back heel for the second goal shows his coolness & awareness in a crowded penalty area. The sort of goal you’d expect from Billy.

As has been said he gives us that sharpness coupled with the strength of Ironside.

If we’re to progress he is without doubt the sort of No.9 we need.

He's definitely making a positive difference with the different types of runs and his goal contributions since he came on a sub in the Grimsby match and then being trusted with the starting striker role.

He gives us that extra dimension Biamou provided last season. As said above, our overall threat has improved with Moly, Gibson and our midfield profiting with good support play getting into scoring positions too.  Also the bonus of scoring from a set piece.

Whilst we were somewhat wasteful yesterday with at least three other guilt edged chances (two for Gibson)  it shows we are beginning to link up play much better. Still some simple passes and finishes going astray without being under much pressure but the trend is going the right way.

Newport were very poor but Sterry, Broadbent and Maxwell were all like terriers snuffing out and tidying up alot of what Newport did offer.

Sterner tests ahead but there's nothing to fear and everything to gain.

Thanks Raven, it looks like we’d have to stump up then, that’s if they’re willing to sell.

Also his ability to have a long ball hit at him and get the other side of the defender becasue of his pace is a real asset
