This ref has had two years of officiating in  the EFL.
He has taken our games twice, both 2-1 wins and us against Wimbledon two years ago was his first match at EFL level.
He averages around five yellow cards per game.

I thought he had a reasonable first half and a poor second. We should have had a late penalty for a clear foul on Sbarra and he bottled it. Questions about offside in the build-up to Crewe's goal, although those need to be addressed to AR1 (Stonier).

I would love to hear him explain why he failed to give the penalty for the foul on Sbarra

Very poor when under pressure late in the game.
That decision not to give us the pen was shocking.

He didn't start well

In the first minute of the game on Rovers attacking right a Rovers player fouled a Crewe defender. Before the whistle went a Crewe player followed the loose ball and completely took Bailey out - yellow card any day of the week. But he bottled that  and just gave Crewe the freekick.

And it just seemed throughout he was more eager to give Crewe freekicks than Rovers - culminating in the Kelly & Sbarra penalty shouts. The Handball was more debatable, ball to hand rather than vice versa, but have seen them given.

By the way their goalscorer knew he had handled it - you could tell by the way he looked at the linesman immediately

Most players look to the linesman when they score in those circumstances.
It is more likely that he was looking to see whether an offside had been flagged for.
He probably KNEW that the number four who headed the ball across goal WAS offside when the free kick went into our box.

Gave him a point for trying to let the game flow however he bottled the penalty decisions.
He wasn’t helped by the muppets with the flags - one who hallucinated and saw Rovers players coming back from an offside position, the other who didn’t see a fecking thing
