Post by: Draytonian III on March 12, 2025, 06:27:00 pm
Darrell Clarke has been sacked, not much to say, best if we wait for our friendly Tyke to post a bit more information

Where is Tyke, by the way? He hasn't posted on here for months.

I hope he's OK. I like his posts.

Because he was brave enough to offer different opinions to the majority.
It happens a lot.

Tyke provided an ingredient that is in great shortage on the forum, particularly the off-topic ones. Common sense.

There are not many of us left!

Couldn't have put it better myself, he will be sorely missed, that's of course if he's decided to stay away.

That is such a hypothetical post.
He probably just got fed up of your garbled responses to so many of his comments and thought it wasn’t worth bothering.

I never really understood why Tyke spent so much time on here to post in such a long winded way about Barnsley with usually only a pretty tenuous link to Rovers, but each to their own.

I steer clear of off topic (and this thread has reminded me why!) so no idea what’s gone off there. Hope he’s doing ok though.

What he wrote always seemed very measured to me and usually provided objective comment and sometimes a different perspective which is surely welcome. He might also have been attracted by the standard of debate which can sometimes rise well above what I’ve seen on other forums - although I’ve not dipped into Barnsley’s.

Possibly he just thought that it was a better forum than the Barnsley one.

So Barnsley will be looking for their 10th manager in 7 years.
A bit of a revolving door there.
