Video above of the late penalty shout.
Clear as day. That late in the game aswell is a very important call
-
take your pick.. Foul on Sbarra, foul on Kelly, or the handball. Infuriating.
-
Hard to believe that a pen wasn’t awarded for that.
I was screaming at the telly when Sbarra was brought down.
Anywhere else on the pitch the ref give a free kick and almost certainly a yellow card.

didn’t think it was handball, not sure on the Kelly one but no doubt the one on sbarra
On another not the pen Tranmere got against Bradford was not half as bad as our shouts
-
Stonewaller, ref should be struck off for that

I think the problem is that no decent referees are coming through the lower leagues. Surely that has to be one reason we must put up with this dross EVERY WEEK.

Kelly one was a nailed on penalty. Their lad kicked Kelly's shin.
That said, Streete wrestled one of their lads to the ground at a first half set piece. These things tend to even out.
If we don't go up, it'll not be the fault of the officials.
-
Two absolute stonewallers! The one on Kelly the guy clearly kicks his leg, not even hidden and the ref was right behind it, their player gets up and laughs, he couldn’t believe he got away with it!
The Sbarra challenge was no less obvious and again the ref is in the right position to clearly see no attempt for the ball.
I hear some are saying their goal was also offside! Well and truly mugged off.
-
I thought the Kelly one was nailed on.
It doesn't feel like we've had many penalties at all this season.

Weve had 1

Funnily enough Lee Turnbull on the Rovers+ commentary said ‘no way a penalty’ on the Sbarra one …. opinions etc
-
Certainly a penalty. The handball wasn’t a penalty.
Anyone got a clip of the Kelly incident?

Offside and then their goal scorer hand balled it
-
Dear oh dear. Sometimes decisions are laid on a plate for the refs. It's such an easy penalty to give and yet he can't see it???

It was. Watching the replay that's as nailed on a penalty as you'll ever see. Dreadful decision.

Interesting, Easy for Dennis, how many decent referees are not coming from the lower leagues? (a % will do) And what is your definition of a decent referee?
-
It’s a penalty and denying a goal scoring opportunity, which is a red card offence.
I havn’t seen the Kelly one and the highlights are no good for judging whether their guy was offside for the first goal.
-
If anyone’s interested have a look at the penalty Tranmere were awarded yesterday at Bradford. Absolutely disgusting decision and behaviour from the Tranmere lad

Thought the same. I'm amazed what refs actually think they see (or don't).
-
If our late call had been earlier or the score something like 4-0 he would have given it, he just didn’t have the bottle. A weak character that cost us the two points.
-
We was ‘Robbed’ Guvnor!

Joke of a penalty. Put that next to the tackle on sbarra and it chalk and cheese.
The dancing on the floor was embarrasing. I know it was against bradford but wish they missed the pen after that.
Hope Tranmere go down and that little dance is used as a meme.

There is no way that we would have got a pen for that.

I'm genuinely falling out with football. I doubt I'd have developed a love for the game if it was like it is now when I first started watching it.
It's now like a circus where the clowns are in charge of the performing artists and are inevitably outwitted as a result.
-
We do seem to be on the wrong end of some very poor officiating. Not your run of the mill poor either, this year has been the worst I have ever witnessed in my 40+ years watching the game.
I don’t know what has caused such a drop in standards so fast , the new way of anti football may have something to do with it, as that has got to epidemic levels in the game.
-
Refs make mistakes that’s a given, but the two penalty shouts were so blatant they were no brainers and didn’t need thinking about

I'm starting to feel the same BB. And it's not just down to the officials. The Premier League, FA, the Players and Sky all have played a part in ruining football and turning it into what it is today.
-
I fell out of love with football many years ago. Driven largely by the Premier League. But I haven’t fallen out of love with my team. My support for Rovers won’t waver but I do despair at the way the game has changed.

I’ve said many a time I’m not a football fan I’m a Rovers fan

Never really watch any other matches apart from rovers.
Can quite easily keep on scrolling through the channels.
There is way too much shown
-
I've never known a Rovers season with such a lack of penalties. One for us, and two against us.
That's incredible.

A cynic might suggest that only two against us might mean we’ve got away with a few! (Not that this means I agree the Sbarra decision was right!)
