Thought I read they were trying a new system and by God it was great
Credit where it's due ,. Yes I know we have complained about it for a long time but the West Stand had incredible quality today.
Every word was clearly heard by me and others around , what a great improvement
To highlight the improvement I point to the well deserved award given to Paul Mayfield or Retford Rover. A fans fan , supporter of everything Rovers and he's been at it years.
He got a well deserved Award on behalf of Club and Fans and I heard every single word of it from Johnathon and Paul whereas normally ( again in West Stand ) the whole thing would have been a series of mumbles which would have ruined a very serious and worthy commemoration
Long may it continue
And well done PM ... Well deserved

Couldn’t make out a word in the south. Sounded like someone had been gagged
-
Very poor in the South stand today could not hear a word clearly
-
Very good where we were. South end of the west stand level with the goal line.
-
Only seemed to be coming from the West Stand so couldn't make anything out from where I was in the South.
-
They just needed another stack in the middle of the south stand.
-
Agree with DW excellent in the West
-
Yep, crystal clear in the West Stand. Great to hear a bit of Bass in the music and a much-improved match-day experience.
-
If you noticed they had around 5-6 very large speakers around the ground it was not through the normal PA system

I have said elsewhere on here, in our spot, left of centre in the South, it was perfect, and I have been very critical of it in the past.
Obviously just needs a bit of tweaking to improve those parts where it still isn’t quite right.
-
It was generally ok in the east stand apart from the kids reading out the players names
-
A noticeable improvement with those speakers. Obviously a temporary solution but a step in the right direction.
-
I literally said to my mate the reviews will be terrible from the south and great from the west. No speaker was even facing or near the south stand. Couldn't hear anything. Really poor behind the goal
-
Strange how it was very good in parts of the South but not in other areas of it.
-
Couldn't a hear a thing in the South stand near the TV screen. It was painful at times to try and hear what was being said.
-
East side of south stand could only hear muffled voices (if I didn’t know the players numbers, I’d have had no clue who the subs were).
Strange because you could tell it was loud, but where I was it sounded like it was from a fairground half a mile away
-
I only noticed it when the terrible goal music came on. Wow - someone found the bass knob and turned it up to 11.
I was near East corner of South Stand about 5m from the speakers. The sound quality for me sat there was like standing in a sweetspot at a gig or festival. Great bass and everything clear. But like at gigs it obviously varies a lot depending on your location.
Not sure about kids reading the teams out though.

Yes we sit just to the right of the goal in the south stand.
The music was loud, but the announcements were shocking, hopefully this was a test and full feedback from fans will be sought.
Almost seems like from past conversations, there seems to be more of a reliance on the music quality rather than when announcements are made!
