Thought I'd get the place open early.
Big Big game today
-
Shall we get a pint each and have a natter.
I’ve been to training this morning and quite a few of the lads are going to be watching the match on the telly.
I’m starting to feel the butterflies a bit.
-
Todays team
COYR
-
Zain back on the bench.
-
No Ironside or mgrath again really worried that we won't see them again this season
-
Was stupid rushing Ironside back after a week or so after a double hernia.
-
A quick start from Rovers, Street scores after 4 minutes, after another 30 minutes Clifton adds a second. Second half, Tranmere come out strong and get one back, but Rovers slowly take over again and get a deciding goal after 85 minutes with Crew getting his first goal having come on as sub at 65 minutes.

I would think we will revert back to 4231
With Sterry Bailey Anderson Senior
Crew. Broadbent
Clifton
Molyneux. Gibson
Street
We could play 3421. But that would mean Clifton playing LWB can’t see that with Nixon on the bench

I feel like this game and Mondays are now season defining. We'll know exactly where we stand come Monday.

Sky red button so there will be a stream somewhere
-
I don't have sky
-
I don't have sky
RBTV77.
You might get a pop up that distracts you for a bit,but she'll be there when the match finished!
-
I don't have sky
Sorry, what I mean is because it's on an official stream you'll no doubt find it on other sites like total sportek
-
NOW TV.
-
Am I right in thinking that if results go our way we could effectively guarantee a play off place today?
-
Tranmere’s shirt badge is very ‘busy’.
-
Come on Rovers, make us proud!

It was Easter Saturday and we went on the special train and I remember seeing Syd Bycroft in the queue. I think that we went 1 down before Bob Gilfillan ran down the left wing absolutely creaming their right back before cutting in and scoring. He then had a similar run but squared it for Laurie Sheffield knocked it in. Laurie and king Alick got the other two goals to send us home very happy.
A great away day in bright sunshine.

Saving for Monday.?

The commentators don’t realise the mute function isn’t working for them!
-
Commentary on sky is hilarious, don’t think he knows we can hear his conversations with his colleagues asking them to change camera angles
-
The commentators don’t realise the mute function isn’t working for them!
Can you focus on the home manager so I can make a comment about him lol
-
Twice in a minute has just shown how utterly terrible Clifton is. The lad couldn’t control a bag of cement
-
Pretty flat start to this game. Tranmere don't look up to much..
-
Walsall winning.
-
Pretty flat start to this game. Tranmere don't look up to much..
Trouble is we don’t either!
-
Walsall winning.
As long as we win that's all that matters
-
First shot on target to Rovers, get stuck in lads!!!!
-
Been a sloppy start, we need to get Crew on the ball
-
What on earth was that short corner?
-
Walsall winning.
We can still go ahead of them - if we win
-
That corner was crap
Anderson did well to chase back
-
Been a sloppy start, we need to get Crew on the ball
He's not gonna stand a chance while we just keep hoofing it
-
The passing is dreadful
-
get in!!!!!!
-
Yessss
-
Get in boys
-
Goooalalalaalalalaal
-
GET IN!!!!!!
-
YYYEEEESSSSSS. !!!!!!!
-
Now concentrate
-
Finish this off, Tranmere look dire!
-
Twice in a minute has just shown how utterly terrible Clifton is. The lad couldn’t control a bag of cement
Brian Clough was the first to say that about Don Megson as we take the lead and conserve energy in the Celebrations and somehow Harrogate equalise
-
Walsall winning.
We can still go ahead of them - if we win
If we win by 5 clear goals! Anyway, they're now drawing which would put us ahead regardless.
YOU REDS!
-
Come on Harrogate and Carlisle
-
Rubbish, Rubbish, hooray goal, Rubbish, Rubbish
-
Harrogate have equalised too. Hope they do well.
-
Never a yellow for Clifton - took the ball clean as a whistle
-
Yellow for Clifton, harsh
-
Clifton booked for a nothing challenge yet their high boot near Anderson face just a foul
-
Never a yellow for Clifton - took the ball clean as a whistle
he’s nearly always first to get a yellow. Only got it because he mis controlled the ball. Again…..
-
Why is Zain Westbrooke the referee?
-
He took a heavy touch and tried too hard to correct it. He got the ball but caught the man with his forceful follow through.
-
Never a yellow for Clifton - took the ball clean as a whistle
BBC app always says bad foul. Are they not allowed a little freedom of expression?
-
Need to wind up Dennis a bit more
-
We are looking decent so far, without doing anything special apart from the goal.
Make sure we don’t get involved with them trying to wind players up, we need eleven on the pitch.
-
What on earth has Crosby done there, a bit silly that!
-
I just checked that Tranmere dangerman Patrick out as a potential signing but he's been around the block a few times 29yo next month
Patrick was born in Slough.[3] His father is Commonwealth Games Gold-winning athlete Adrian Patrick, and his godfather is sprinter Linford Christie.[4]

McCann did similar at their place last season and got sent off
-
Crosby, no longer Young, must now be still in the stand and nash his teeth:lol:
-
If Gibson thought he was offside why was he standing there close by the action ffs
-
Carlisle winning
-
What on earth has Crosby done there, a bit silly that!
not really worthy of a red like. I’d be fuming if that was given against Grant.
-
What on earth has Crosby done there, a bit silly that!
Bit ott from the ref a yellow would have been fine, expecting a few more yellows for Tranmere as they get annoyed
-
carlisle winning 1-0
salford 0 hopeless accrington 1
-
If Gibson thought he was offside why was he standing there close by the action ffs
He was there for the throw in but never came then went to him while he was offside
-
I can see the danger of Tranmere coming out strong for the second half. We need another goal soon.
-
Need to wind up Dennis a bit more

Looks like the winding up is working
-
Really pathetic that sending off. Don’t give this referee any reason, he’s an idiot.
-

Grant got a red card last season for something similar
COYR
-
Think Clifton needs to be off at half time to protect him from the red
-
McCann did similar at their place last season and got sent off
Maybe in Crosby’s defence he was assuming that the game would restart with a different ball? Also, why would he waste time with his team losing 1-0?
-
How many red cards have we seen in the last 4/5 games? About 5?
-
Carlisle two up llol
-
Carlisle 2 up
-
Carlisle 2 up on PV. What a division.

nah - if it's an opposition player or official that goes - it's a great decision ;)

He hardly touched the Tranmere player. Wasn’t even a free kick. Clifton got the ball cleanly

Crew seems to have no strengths - v disappointing
-
Quick maths if all results stay like this think we have secured playoffs
-
Port Vale 2 - 0 down
-
What a cracking first half for us, with other results going our way, maybe this is the bit of luck that we have not had all season!
-
i thought i would throw away £10 on betfair yesterday at odds of 11.5 to one because the odds were so big - in the big picture the money is totally irrelevant regarding my position ... every result is a winner
-
Walsall are truly garbage. Thanks Stoke for recalling that kid
-
Crew seems to have no strengths - v disappointing
Yes he seems to be off the pace of the game and quite negative in his passing.
-
Would love to freeze all half time scores
I thought the goal reminded me of several scored by David Cotterill
-
The score is all that matters today, a bit of a scrappy performance like, I’d take Clifton off, a second yellow card waiting to happen
-
Love the sky commentary being left on, behind the curtain just waiting for him to swear
-
Yep, Clifton for sure just for his own protection
-
Cliftons hot head and the ref seemingly card happy doesn’t make for an 11v11 finish .
-

i can, quite happily - until they start handing out additional points for artistic impression, it's fantastically entertaining - win at all costs, and f**k the style of the performance...
-
We're doing OK but Tranmere don't look like they're up to much so would hope we go for it a bit more 2nd half. Don't want to see a nervy 45 minutes trying to sit on a one goal lead.
-
Walsall are truly garbage. Thanks Stoke for recalling that kid
Harrogate have 3 yellow cards

All about the 3 points today and again on Monday I don't mind being bored out of my mind as long as we get the wins

Commentator eating an apple

Love the sky commentary being left on, behind the curtain just waiting for him to swear
Haha i just came on to ask if anybody else is loving it. Hope he's enjoying his apple!
-
Think Tranmere can't tell the time out very early
-
Agree Clifton off to protect against ref. Not sure about Kelly he is doing very little at the moment.hope somthing done at half-time.

-
Wow, we've finally been given a pen!
-
Mols taking it
-
Yesss
-
And scores
-
can we please declare at 3-0
-
Well that's 2, breath a bit easier now, but would be happier with 3, or am I being greedy!
-
And port vale down by 3. What a day this is turning into.
-
Carlisle 3!
-
PV 3 down....putting the good in Good Friday.
-
A Mansfield Moment (of sorts)
-
Maybe it's disloyal to say this, but I think we'd be angry if that had been given against us!
-
My goodness - we are well overdue that penalty! We need about another 5 or 6 before the end of the season!
-
We now at the minute have a better goal difference than Port Vale.
-
that £10 went quick 3-0 on Port vale :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
money well spent even though i have backed them at 50/1 and 33/1
-
Good ball Charlie Crew

No you're not. Goal difference.
-
Good ball Charlie Crew
Yep
-
Maybe it's disloyal to say this, but I think we'd be angry if that had been given against us!
Clumsy from the keeper, feet first. Cute from Street though!
-
Plenty of this game to go yet, and Tranmere came back from 0-3 down in last match
-
Maybe it's disloyal to say this, but I think we'd be angry if that had been given against us!
Definitely a penalty, stone wall.
And a great ball through from crew
-
Maybe it's disloyal to say this, but I think we'd be angry if that had been given against us!
Same was just expecting the goal kick as street had knocked it past the keeper and didn't look like he was going to get it
-
Moly dislocated finger?
-
That gives us a plus one gd on port vale. A five goal swing today . Incredible .
-
This games not over yet though. If they get the next goal we would be hanging on I feel
-
Let off there for Rovers as Dennis hits the crossbar with TSL beaten
-
Nutter Dennis off the bar.
-
Given the draw yesterday, currently only one team in the top 11 heading for a win
-
Quite an improvement tin the work rate now
-
Think we need to slow the game down a bit get a bit more possession
-
Tranmere coming into this, hang on lads
-
Terry needs to get in the face of Dennis and get him sent off
-
Come on grant get Clifton off , can’t get a red now
-
harrogate now got 4 yellow cards is that why they are called the Sulphurites :coat:
-
I always liked Harrogate......
-
This is too good to be true!
-
harrogate winning
-
Need to change things
-
Under the cosh a little now and TSL just made a decent save. Need to ride out the next 10 mins.
-
PV pull one back but the Walsall implosion continues....
-
We’re promoted now
-
Tactical injury needed
-
Great save by TSL
-
Port vale get one back
-
Tactical injury needed
No!
-
We need to freshen it up
-
Get Kelly on for Clifton FFS he's a passenger needs some energy
-
Clifton, Crew and Gibson off fro Westbrook, Kelly and Ennis
-
A chesterfield goal now could be the perfect day
-
3-2 Carlisle Vs port vale
-
Crew was brilliant today, got stuck in and always a threat with his passing, Shane he went off. Glad Gibson did, I keep thinking there is a player in there, but he hasn’t shown it yet.
-
Tranmere coming into this, hang on lads
Possession: 60%:40% to the home side.
In the first half we had possession of 67% to 33%
-
Anderson having a good game
-
Was Kelly the right sub for this game? The balls hardly on the deck and it's very very physical
-

Game over!!!!!!!! Just need to watch Carlisle are making it a great day with Harrogate!
-
Get in!!
-
Weeeeeeeeeeee Mols
-
no more goals please FFS declare
-
Goal difference important here.
-
Thank god for that. Tranmere were getting too much of the ball before Moly’s hat trick.
-
Wow
-
Oh Mols what a player
-
We want 4
-
Absolutely amazing. Come on lads (quietly saying under my breath this makes the Salford result even more frustrating)
-
La la la bum tee ayyyyyy
-
First Rovers hat trick since?... Whiteman?
-
Was a blow to not sign Haks in the summer but what business to re-sign this lad. Talisman.
-
only disapointing aspect of the day - three airings of that f**king awful post-goal 'vindaloo' chant - i hate that with a passion

Wow Moly. Goal difference right up there with the top 4 now. Walsall can’t buy a win so surely promotion ours to lose now.
-
Good work from Ennis in the build up
-
just put £10 at 32/1 walsall to win - changed channels they are hammering harrogate
another insurance policy
-
Selection headache for grant now on Monday all subs done well
-
walsall 2-2

Wow switched to Walsall for the last 5 mins they were all over Harrogate
-
2-2 draw money well spent
-
Vale missed pen in added
What a save that was
-
Wasteful to make 4/5/6 but good result and good sub performances
-
Could have easily been 5 but a win is al that matters right now
-
carlisle won 3-2 97 minutes played
-
Good day all round.
-
What a day
-
All over at Carlisle . 3-2. What a day
-
Same again Monday, please.
-
Excellent result. Got to love Moly.
-
tremendous set of results - and anyone down to Fleetwood in 14th could still end up in the playoffs...
-

4th class
This must be hurting you!
A 3-0 away win but every post you’ve made during the game is negative
Unlucky sunshine
-
What a weird league this is. We're the only winners out of the top seven, not that I'm complaining though
-

For so long a moaner. Crew was very good today. Surprised he was subbed.
-
Westbrooke did really well when he came on, just looks after the ball doesn't he.
-
i am on the Carlisle match and the commentator said Walsall in England's SECOND CITY -- how long has Walsall been in Birmingham ??
-
Overall a good solid performance today and we were by far the better team.
Mols brilliant all day.
Anderson only just behind him for MoM.
Results elsewhere mostly on our favour.
A very Good Friday.
Roll on Monday now.
-
Crew was good passing the ball but lacks that bit of strength but I would not have sub him although Westbrooke looked after the ball.
Ennis played well and not for two good saves by their keeper could have had two goals.
Kelly used his running forward skills better when he came on maybe better as a sub than starting.
Sbarra better out wide than down the middle. But they were trying to get back at us so more space.
Saturday we need 3 more points

A quick start from Rovers, Street scores after 4 minutes, after another 30 minutes Clifton adds a second. Second half, Tranmere come out strong and get one back, but Rovers slowly take over again and get a deciding goal after 85 minutes with Crew getting his first goal having come on as sub at 65 minutes.

that was lucky and unlucky I was looking to give Trani a 3 goal start (as you do ) on a handicap but could only see giving them a one goal start

I can shed some light on that game. It was the supporters club outing and a football special train was organised. Something like 4,000 fans travelled. Alec Jeffrey was unplayable and scored an astonishing individual goal. Surrounded by 4 defenders, in the blink of an eye the ball nestled in the back of the net while those 4 defenders were each left on their backsides wondering what the hell happened.
Laurie Sheffield was on the scoresheet, too.
Rovers then went on to win the title. The only dark cloud was losing the final game of the season to Notts County 0-3 in front of 17,000 fans. That game will also remain memorable for the Tony Coleman incident when he punched the ref after being sent off! What a year 1966 was.

Bob, Notts County was the last home game I think of the season.
The final game was the rearranged game v Bradford City at Valley Parade on the Monday night.
Paul Durrant put us 1-0 up but I think that it was Bruce Bannister that equalised. The crowd was about 6,500 and the home crowd there the following Saturday was under 2,000. We had to wait until the Saturday when Darlington drew 0-0 with Torquay United to make us champions on goal average 59 points with Darlington who were second and Torquay third on 58 so a win for either side would have made them champions and us runners up.
