Title: Re-positioning the Advert hoardings for the Bradford Match as per Barnet Match
Post by: Colemans Left Hook on April 19, 2025, 01:38:04 am
One or two of you might remember me going on about Bradford getting their first three "charity" goals against Swindon from Halliday's long throws

As i said I watched the first twenty odd minutes live on the day and the rest of the match on Friday not paying full attention .

It took me until into the sixty odd minute before to noticed Halliday take a long throw in when attacking our penalty area and it hardly made it anywhere near the near post - I can't remember another one !

Did anyone notice how many throw ins he attempted into our box during the match

or were County smart in not allowing the ball to go out of play in dangerous areas

or was  i simply not paying attention.

of course if JM plays different rules might apply   - it might even throw it down on matchday to negate the effect ?

It was lethal v Swindon. It was noticeable how Swindon never attacked the first contact, a couple of the goals bounced twice in the area first, so we’ve got to be alive and win that first contact. Bailey and Anderson both excellent yesterday and both good with their heads, so it’ll be interesting!

Hallidays throws are from a relatively short run up so the advertising hoardings won't make any difference.

They're quite a flat trajectory too and they use a decoy runner to create space in behind as Reg says.

I seem to remember we did the advertising hoardings trick in the 2nd leg of last years play offs match v Crewe to negate Demetriou's long throw. Maybe it was karma paying us back that day.

Suprised nobody noticed that the boards were moved in for the Wimbledon game in front of the East stand.
