Title: Trophy
Post by: colfromdonny on April 21, 2025, 06:42:14 pm
If, and its a big if, we win next week and Port Vale lose will we be presented with the trophy after the match? The EFL would have to bring all the stuff for the photos and trophy presentation but try to keep it hidden probably. I would rather get the trophy in front of the home crowd but probably best not to count too many chickens (or bantems)

More likely to get it at Notts County

There will potentially be 3 trophies doing the rounds... 2 won't see the light of day..

Another question, do we get to keep it winning Tier 4 for the third time?

Let’s not count the chickens too early lads.

There is only one team that can win the trophy on Saturday. No need for copies elsewhere.

Two tough games to come. The players can have a tour around the mansion house when they’ve won it.

If the EFL do bring it, just in case, I would rather the players are unaware, to avoid unnecessary distraction.

Needs to be kept in a van outside until it’s mathematically correct that we have won it

I really don’t like it when us fans get over confident.
Look what happened after the Crewe first leg last year.

I like it - unmarked and arriving after 80 minutes!

Wonder if the efl have to ask the club if they can bring it and if the club can refuse or if we have no choice with the game on sky as well

Or last time we could've won the league at the last home game... though in fairness we did win it the following week.

Bring it out before the game and get River players to gather around it to wind up the Bradford players and fans.

Talk like this always worries me.
Hopefully none of the players are having similar thoughts.
