My wife’s birthday today, had a house full and plenty of booze flowing all day. What a great two weekends the club has given us. Love this club

But I fancy a brew tbh, my throat's killing from singing lol.

I usually celebrate with a whisky.

Mind you, I usually commiserate with a whisky also.

Few leffes and a number

Leffe would have been my go to drink

As we leave Ground each week I will say " I'm having a celebratory Leffe" when we've won or snatched a maybe undeserved draw OR " I'm having a commiseratory Leffe" if we've lost or drawn when we might have won

However at the moment I have to watch my alcohol intake esp 6.6 % beautiful Belgian beers so I'm in bed ( happy ) with a litre of water with ice cubes in  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:  COYR

My doctor advised me not to drink any more, so I reluctantly obliged.

Now I just drink the same.

Settling down to watch MOTD. God, isn't Premier league football shit compared to the pinnacle of L2?

I've got motd on but not been taking much notice tbh, watched Grant's & Owen's post match interviews on the tube at the same time.

A couple of mugs of Harrogate Yorkshire tea for the first hour or so and then a couple of cans of celebratory Guinness. Well why not? These magical moments only come along so often in our Rovers supporting lives. Maybe it should be champagne after today? Call me a northerner but I would still rather have a pint of the old Magnet ale or proper Tetley's rather than a pint of Southern sissy shandy!

As the father of a brand new baby boy, drinking just isn't worth it at the moment with the middle of the night feeds to be done. My life is very different to that day at Brentford when I had the mother of all sessions. I did sip on some cider while watching the game yesterday but sensibly stopped myself at the final whistle. I don't need gargle to enjoy this. Smiling to myself here this morning with a cup of tea (proper Irish tea leaves only) and my lovely little boy in my arms.
