Wonder what next seasons designs will be like?
Probably due a black away kit.
Thought I would get my annual post in early
-
Red and white hoops for the home shirt.
-
Red and white hoops for the home shirt.
I like that idea
-
Hoops all the way round, just a square of red or white for name and number
-
Can I be the first to say African Violet away kit, even though I think it's a terrible idea?
-
Gold away kit fit for champions
-
Agree with hoops alll around, done it in the past, can do it again.
-
This kit please....
-
I would like to see them put the star on over the Viking badge one for every promotion we have had.
-
A new star on the badge to commemorate the title would be a nice touch (top of my head is it 5 now?), I imagine designs are well advanced by now. I do seem to remember them doing that after Penney won league 2
-
This kit please....
Still got your original one.? :chair:
-
go for it - blue tam o'shanters with a red bobble, shirts become an irrelevance if they do that....
-
We were talking about this yesterday, should change the kit every two seasons. I reckon the same amount of people or more would buy them then, knowing that it's going to be current for more than a year.
Not a lot you can do with hoops anyway

White and red hoops next season I’ve heard.
-
Gold away kit fit for champions
Are you thinking we need a handicap? Could slow us down too much, a lighter fabric construction is my preference.

White gas red hoops next season I’ve heard.
No idea what white gas red is, but I like the idea of having a different flavour of red. Raspberry?

Like this Atletico Madrid kit but hoops not stripes. Let’s mix it up a bit with a wiggle on the hoop, last couple have been nice but way too similar to each other.
-
The hoops are good, different to almost everyone else.
What goes round, comes round.
-
Not on our Shirts . It sets off round but doesn't come back lol
-
Can I be the first to say African Violet away kit, even though I think it's a terrible idea?
The African Violet brigade will peter out eventually till it becomes as "relevant" as the Tam o' Shanter kit
Till then can I be the second to say " bring it back , cos I bloody loved it"
Thinking about it , it's (imo) it's association with 73/4 v Liverpool at Anfield and the 2-2 draw and the b****** , it's hit the Bar in added time
-
Hibs style away kit please for the 20th time of asking....
-
Obviously our red & white hoops are pretty unique, however I think a play on the Denmark 86 shirt would be pretty interesting (obviously with hoops in 1 half instead of stripe)
-
Hibs style away kit please for the 20th time of asking....
Only 20th? I'm sure it's more than that.
-
This kit please....
Still got your original one.? :chair:
Yep, still got the one Scawsby Steve gave me.

Sorry about the tam o' shanter being missing. I'll contact Wolfie and tell him he forgot to send it.
-
This Hibs kit would be great. Slightly wider hoops. And maybe change the green for that African violet…?
-

That would look too much like the American flag!
-
My 14 year old designed this a few month back, wouldn't be massively upset if it was similar, maybe a couple of tweaks here & there.
-

Totally agree with this.

Finding a shirt manufacturer to agree to this would be virtually impossible.

Joking apart, selling Tam o'shanters in the club shop could be a right money spinner.

Got to say I liked the home kit with the white shorts Saturday, looks classy!
-
White shorts look so much better in my opinion.

Brentford alternate new home and away shirts as they understand that’s life’s tough on people to buy two new shirts every year so it can’t be that hard to find a supplier that will play ball.

There’s a world of difference between Brentford of the EPL and DRFC of LG1/2. Volume is everything.

Surely more kits would be sold over those two seasons?
I stopped buying kits for my lad every season, just found it ridiculous.
Plus, you'll never get an iconic kit that's only worn for 1 season.
-
Yeah. The home shirt really doesn’t need to be changed every year. San Diego Wave kept their home kit the same for the 2025 season - and it’s a cracker.
-
I think this years kit has been the nicest for some time. The black edging really sets off the hoops, and they look better thinner than last years.
-
I don't like the solid red back
-

I’ll second that and I think it’s a great idea

Agree, I'm always more interested to see what away kit they come up with.
-
Too late for this year, but it'd be nice if they gave fans a bit more of a say in the kits. We did this for about three/four years and it was great.
Think next season's should look decent with the new sponsor. Red/Blue works well, like the One Call kits.
Hoping we don't change too much, this season's was actually our best kit for year. Incorporate the logo nicely and we'll be onto a winner.
-
Wasn’t the wobbly hoops chosen by the fans, or maybe the Avec ones further back? Two of my least favourites from the last 15 years or so.
-
Pretty certain the wavy hoops were not fan designed. This was the kind of selection we used to have:

I ran a poll on here a few years ago and if memory serves, the two season shirt option came out marginally on top.
My preference would be two seasons as I thought it would put shirts back on the Christmas list etc and more people would buy if they knew it would last longer.
On the flip side there were many who like the idea of a fresh look each season and do make the effort to buy every season.
I suppose if the design isn't to everyone's taste....or we have a bad season (like the near solid red under Wellens etc) you don't want to see it again!
I took the results to the club but they felt more would be sold on an annual basis than every two years. I.e more folk buying twice than once over the same period.
Whether folk feel the same these days would be interesting to hear.
As S_M has indicated though, logistics in supply and replenishment may not be as straight forward as we might think with obviously cheaper costs with higher volumes. There's also other factors like sponsors logos which might change during a two season term.

We really did end up with the dullest away kit out of that choice. Hopefully we'll get something a bit wild for our travels next season.
-
I like the blue away shirt that we have had this season.

I hate it. Can't stand baby blue colours.

The violet with black faded sash was mine. Would have been paired with black shorts.
Maybe one day.!

We looked at this a few years ago because the FSF thought it would be a fabulous campaign and would deliver positive financial results for supporters.
It proved to be a complex picture full of prices, stats, and manufacturers and clubs who would have done what we were asking but it was financial suicide in some ways.
But the biggest surprise was those supporters who wanted a new shirt every season! Strange but true.
-
I always thought the kit design competition was a great way of involving supporters. Some good kits came out of it too.
Even if the manufacturer doesn’t want to relinquish so much control of the design, it’s good to give supporters options and a vote.
-
No new kit this summer would generate nothing. There's the issue.

More volume sold per kit if alternated every two years. Makes absolute sense all round.
-

Alternate home and away. And announce that's what you're doing in advance which will up the purchases on each occasion as it effectively increases the value.

Alternate home and away releases and that's what they get. The thing is, more people don't want that than do. And other items can be sold to keep the "loads a money" and nerdy sets happy.

Baby pink then?
-
I can’t imagine what we make from selling shirts is that much in the grand scheme of things.
-
Clubs typically get around 10pc of the sale price. At £50 a pop, we sell how many a season? Say 3000. That's £150,000 gross income. Our cut will be £15,000. That's a rounding error even at League Two level.
-
Not forgetting that this next season we have a new front of shirt sponsor, so a new kit is inevitable

Was there 2 seasons a few years back we changed sponsor but not kit. Want to say ledger mobility era?

How about something like this next season away-https://playunbranded.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/01-Broken-Stripes-kit_0002_black-orange-13878-13878-kit-620x790.jpg

You a secret Hull City fan?
-
I was looking for something like that in Blue and Yellow, but saw that and thought it looked smart and paid Hull no mind which is probably the best way for it to be.
-
We should use the Yellow and Blue Belles kit as our third shirt.

Agree with this.
And I would love to see the seaweed away shirt return, slightly edges it as my all time favourite,if not any of several of the Green and white offering for away kit,Hibs style or any green and I'm often surprised we don't have an away kit In same style as hoops home version of the time but in 2 other different colours, like say gold and black hoops or 2 different shades of blue hoops more often.

I only bought the blue away shirt this year. Personally, thought it looked good.

Dons away shirt they wore v Halifax will do fine!

I remember at the time that kit was next to useless and we often ended up wearing all green as red and white and white and green was still considered a clash with white or red and white striped kits. First kit I ever bought though so holds a place on my heart.
