Title: Please can we have a Palace XI here for A Pre-Season Friendly with the Cup

and as I said before can you loan us a player or too (& Apologies for Street  running around trying too hard against you - because he was once on your books)

Twice in recent years we have played FOOTBALL against them  AND THEY KNOW WE ARE A GOOD FRIENDLY CLUB

Remember us playing Southampton in a friendly after they’d won the fa cup, maybe due to Laurie MacMenemy being their boss.

…and they played their full strength XI and they brought the FA Cup with them and paraded it around the ground to big applause. It seemed like a massive deal for everyone to see it in the flesh back then when the competition was such a big deal.
