Has anyone noticed the caps on tickets for the NL Play Off Final due to engineering works. What a daft decision this is limiting both teams to 17500 tickets. Just thinking back to how great the Southend fans were at the Keepmoat and what they’ve been through. Similar story with Oldham

Agreed. A lot of Southend fans are going by coach and there are any number of ways of getting to Wembley than via the obvious tube lines. People in Essex often travel daily to London and are very familiar with the city and its public transport options and are intelligent enough to want to avoid problems and will use their initiative.
One serious incident which the authorities failed miserably to police seems to ensure over-elaborate measures to cover themselves against a repeat with no thought of the impact on the public. The police seem to think that instead of actually doing their job it is smart to limit freedom so that they avoid having to do anything. The Nanny State in action.
