Post by: Lesonthewest on May 31, 2025, 08:41:52 pm
Is there anywhere I can find the line ups for both teams from today, thanks in advance.

Wonder why they can do a Legends kit with full hoops but not an official kit.

I would suggest there were more sponsor players than legends in the two elevens
But the ones that were there for Rovers
first half
Chris Brown Brian Stock Paul Green Matty Blair Adam Lockwood
Second Half
Jason Price Graham Lee Simon Marples  Andy Butler
The crowd was nearly 7000

Who were the MannUtd legends and what was the score?

Ryan Giggs (for 15 mins before he hobbled off), Clayton Blackmore, Keith Gillespie (for 10 mins), Wes Brown was there but I can't remember seeing him on the pitch, Frazier Campbell, James Chester, Chris Eagles.

Was a cracking day tbf and for a great cause.

Andy Butler winning a ball and running through the whole length of the pitch to score a cracking goal, a fat Marples and Wes Brown bouncing off each other to shepherd a ball out of play, Andy Butler dragging one of their payers down and then having him chase Andy to jump on his back and get a piggy back, Matty Blair scoring for Rovers again, so much to enjoy yesterday! 5-5 as well!

Only downside to the game was the number of young kids in their Man Utd kits  :( :(

More there than usual. Man Utd will always attract more than any other club despite being a laughing stock right now.

They raised £158471 with 6920 people there doesn’t matter what shirt the kids had on the organisers are volunteers and it was a tremendous effort towards the Cancer charity.

I find it difficult to understand how Wes Brown and Marples bounced off each other as Wes played at centre half first half and Marples played right back second half ???

That's an excellent turn-out and an amazing amount of money raised.
Well done to all.
