Love to see us bring in Street and Crew permanently, but can’t see it.

1pc chance of the former, 0pc chance of the latter.

Grant's been quiet, very quiet. As have the club.

I reckon one of these will come back and my gut says money changing hands for Street "investment".

TLT too I fancy.

Lincoln are touting their midfielder Ethan Erhahon. Turned down a 600k bid from Swansea. Can’t imagine that the player feels valued and appreciated by Lincoln.

If anyone thinks we are signing Crew permanently then they are smoking crack.

Be careful, the last man to make statements like that said it about signing Richie Wellens from Blackpool, and he had to eat b*llocks!

He is on a contract with Leeds United until 2028 and has been called up to the Wales first team squad. We have just been promoted from the lowest tier of league football. We are not signing him on a permanent deal.

The boy is exciting but raw - maybe a loan out to a local club (us) will suit his bosses...... but if not we move on and find some fresh raw meat...

He came from Oldham having been at Blackpool previously. I don’t think either club were in very good health when he came here.

Signing Wellens was a big coup at the time, no doubt about that. But he was out of contract and available and the circumstances are incomparable.

Well, it's been very quiet on the transfer and rumour front after the quick start with Gotts. Do we think we'll hear anything tomorrow?

Don't know but maybe Grant should have had that family holiday.

If we’re getting them in early, we’re going to have a busy few days!

Isn't that just for Premier League clubs though? To me, it reads like we could still do deals with any club outside the top flight all throughout the summer

So not a lot of time to get your signings over the line if your chasing 6-7-8

We’ve got all summer, same as every year.

Chill. Let's see where we are on 1 September. Leave it to the experts who keep telling us it's not how you start, but how you finish that matters.

That only means things can’t be made official then.  Can still be having talks behind the scenes, as they will have been before now.

The transfer window can only be open 89 days so that’s why there’s a break in the middle but it won’t stop discussions. Or in our case Speculation and nothing concrete as yet

Doesn't the transfer window only apply to players under contract? The majority of our signings will be out-of-contract free agents who we can sign even when the window is closed, I'd have thought. Think we brought Olowu in after the window closed as he was without a club a few years back.

Absolutely, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to sign Robbie Gotts.

Worth noting from the Gotts announcement "The 25-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months, with the contract coming into affect on July 1, subject to approval."

Yeah his contract runs out at the end of June hence why we are signing him on a free (July 1st)
