Yes please!
-
Agreed! He would be a wonderful addition.
-
In a heartbeat
-
Oh! Go on then. Wouldn’t need that few months settling in period and be hitting the ground knowing exactly how we play. There’s no doubt about his quality.
-
Only going to get better and love to see him develop at the hoops...
-
That would sort our midfield out for next season without a doubt. We desperately need that kind of player in there.
-
As already said, I think he is the kind of player that were missing within the squad now.
For me in the final 5 games of the season he was the stand out player, along with Street. He looked a class above.
-
No brainer ! Get it done Grant, and while your at it get on the blower to Lincoln and get Street back !
-
it would be best for both parties because he will be coached well and welcomed socially by club and community .
-
Obviously!
-
It's surely no coincidence that the last four games when Crew came back in to the side properly is when we kicked on and won the league. We're crying out for some creativity, dynamism and control in midfield. I'd happy have Crew back, but even if not Crew, we really really someone in to run the middle of the park.
-
This is possibly why we have not sorted this position so far,it was likely/possible he would return since we went up and his next step developement would naturally be expected to be League one, come on Charlie, you know it makes sense!
-
The lad is very talented and I believe enough to be able to step up to L1.
I said at the time he has a knack for winning ball from the opposition and tends to be very calculated with his challenges as opposed to some who would dive into a challenge.
My only reservation would be why he was left out of the team for a period, seems clear something wasn’t quite right.
Having said that we have seen what he can do so would to have him back rather than risking another young loanee.

The lad came back from International duty absolutely knackered! That’s why he was left out.

My car fuel tank is full, I’ll offer to pick him up.

Before the international break he started 1 game in 7, and only made it off the bench in 2 others so clearly something wasn’t quite right.
We look to have signed well so far but Crew, or a similar player, should be the priority now for me. We looked so much better when he was back in the side for the run in and my concern is that we’ll continue to look light in midfield without someone to replace that role (I’ve got high hopes for Gotts but I don’t think that’s his game). We’re still heavy in numbers there, though, so maybe the case that we need to move some out before anyone else comes in but I really hope that’s what we’re looking to do next.
-
The hell yes!
You can't have enough natural talent to choose from.
As others have said above, last season was a big learning curve for him so if he were to come in again, he's already jumped a few hurdles, so he'll be better prepared for the season ahead.
I got the impression he wasn't really enjoying it probably because he sets himself high standards and maybe, didn't get the game time he was hoping for.
I think this time, he has the opportunity to show his natural ability, while knowing what he needs to do for the team.
Really hope this comes off.
-
This really would be a great loan signing and a logical one that suits both clubs.
-
Looks like a good side is being built, a player like Crew would be another good addition to the side.
-
The icing on the cake, yes please!
-
The only question marks are over his durability (and that’s not surprising given his age and the position he plays). We can’t reasonably expect him to play week in week out against seasoned pros at this level. His ability isn’t in question.

Is this a real club interest story, or just the journalist picking up on fan vibes.?
However, it’s a yes from me.

Totally agree with all of that. I'd add Bailey as a stand-out player in those final games as well.
-
Yes, but he’s not coming.

Who says?

And we could drag him down the Sal after every match. Grant, get that added into his contract as the sweetener!
-
GM still not done an interview!
-
Any chance he is expected today.....?
-
Hope we do get him back.
-
Any chance he is expected today.....?
He has now!
-
Natural talent but most importantly he developed really well in his time here. There's a few aspects that need polishing, and playing in our set up in League 1 is the PERFECT place for that.

I'm disappointed Alan - he hasn't has he....
-
Apologies, my comment was in reference to GM not having done an interview yet! How I managed to quote what you’d wrote, I’ll never know.
A touch of old fartism I think!
-
I see he came on for weeds against manure as a second half sub over in Sweden !

I was looking for him but didn't notice he came on.
