Bloody hell, I've just watched Wet Leg. What a sexy lead singer. It was enough to give me a wet leg.
I wish I'd have gone to Glastonbury now; I think I might have had a chance with her.
Especially if she's into Arthur Mullard lookalikes.
-
Saw them supporting green day last year in Manchester.
Decent band aren't they. Not watching Glastonbury though, just doesn't seem right anymore.
Download is where the crazy shit happens

To me Glastonbury is as mainstream as Glyndebourne. That’s not to say they don’t get decent acts on. It’s a long time since Scallies invaded the site and robbed the tents that’s for sure.
I’ve had some bad experiences at outdoor music festivals. A couple were like the Somme. These days we don’t often get cold in the summer. Modern weather.
What I’m saying is, I prefer an indoor venue and a taxi home.

Brian Wilson’s 2005 glasto set is on iplayer Steve

Saw them at End of the road festival last year. Great performance.

Just watched Biffy Clyro, great band. Good to see Wunderhorse on too they're going to be big. Wet leg definitely good too.
Will probably watch a bit of self esteem tonight. Not the 1975 though they can get in the bin!
I'd have enjoyed Lorde too, I do like her.
-
I always enjoy watching Glastonbury on TV and often kid myself that I’d like to attend one year! I fear that ship has passed though!
My one and only foray into musical festivals was the Reading Festival in 1987 where the name of the game was avoiding bottles of urine and avoiding the battles between various gangs. I did get to see Status Quo and Alice Cooper though.
-
You could easily do Glastonbury. You can have a week there and barely see a band it's an absolutely huge site and festival with so much to see for literally anyone.
I'm biased though, Glastonbury was a big part of me and my wife ending up together.
-
How are 1975 headline quality?

Not that many bands around.

If it's an age thing don't let that bother you. My last visit was on my own in 2019 I was 67. I have tried and failed to get tickets every time since then.
The "mud" years aren't clever though we ( my wifes only visit) were there in 2016 and it was a bit grim
As BFYP says you can spend a week there and not need to see an act on the main stages unless you wanted to

I see that very nice Michael Eavis has taken steps to make sure his daughter inherits the estate with minimum tax liabilities, why not it's what the landed gentry have done for hundreds of years.
Nice to see Palestinian flags flying, of course any elections in that area would see Hamas in power, the ones who sent armed murderous scum paragliding over fences to attack a music festival.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Someone else blind to history, blind to decade after decade of abuse, decade after decade of illegal land siezure, and, blind to decade after decade of deliberate, state sanctioned illegality and murder by the other side. What would you do if you were a Palestinian who's land has been stolen, who's wife has been shot for walking down a street, and who's children are left with absolutely no future except rotting in an insanitary and ill fed camp Smyth? Of course, you can believe the occupiers if you want. They always say, every time, there's no problem here. That's why they shoot interfering journailists too.

I must be out of touch, I thought The 1975 were very good!
-
The best band so far for me have been the Osees on the Park Stage. Got to love a band with two drummers both up front with the rest of the band. Loads of energy and shit tatts.
The 1975 are just wishy washy shite, they make Coldplay look like Motorhead.

Oh, right. That's that then!

Watching Inhaler at the moment, really good!
Surprise package so far was Alanis Morissette.
-
Anyone know what time Billy Cotton's on?
-
Wakey Wakey SS. You’ve just missed him.
Bernard Hermann and the NDO are on next.

I'd let terrorists take over my country and celebrate when they murder Jewish babies. Then watch middle class white people in the UK wave my flag as its the new trendy. The new "i support whatever everyone supports"
It's funny how letting a band play who've openly called for violence against MPs and support terrorism is "personal choice", or "if you don't like it just don't watch". Same folk who cherp that will be the same saying a Chubby Brown concert must be cancelled. Because you can't have you choice really. Unless it's the choice of the masses and what everyone else said

Hoping to catch Neil Young.
Harvest and After the Goldrush, two sublime albums from my youth.
-
Anyone know what time Billy Cotton's on?
Mike Sammes Singers on Woodsies next SS
-
Enjoying Neil Young's spot now. I bet Scawsby Steve must be enjoying it even more, though, if only for sentimental reasons.
Steve used to be his babysitter back in the day.
-
I thought Rod Stewart was excellent given his age

He's senile. He said, just last week, that Reform are a good thing.

Great show. What a performer.

If he is senile, he certainly wears it well.
Unlike some on here.

He must be infantile then, according to something I read on here a couple of days ago.
I thought he was decent enough today.
-
Great set by Rod and his band.
They were also the best looking band of the weekend

Do you include Ronnie Wood in that lol!

Prodigy having an absolute tear up on the other stage. Simply one of the best British bands ever.

Watches the last 7 or 8 tunes after watching the Maccabees. Both were brilliant but the prodigy looked crazy.
-
Prodigy absolutely unreal last night. Trying to get tickets for their show in Manchester in April on the back of that. Only seated available and I don’t think I’d be able to contain myself.
-
Snow Patrol did it for me of the sets I've watched so far
-
I’ve never been interested in going to a festival of that size in fact of any size, all that not showering and going for a dump in bucket I could get that by moving to Barnsley !!
I had the chance to go to Wembley 40 years to a concert , Live Aid ,but I turned it down to watch Bruce Springsteen at Leeds a week earlier.

Let's keep politics out of music please, Bob.

Some people just keep their age better than others. Rod Stewart looks great, but poor old Neil Young looked like an old tramp; and Ronnie Wood looked like a walking corpse.

If you mean those backing singers, Knockers, yes. Two of them were gorgeous, and looked like sisters; and what fabulous voices.
I've googled them to find out who they were, but can't get any info at all.
Anyone know?

Unbelievable. Smack my b*tch up the highlight.
Saw them 10 years ago in Cardiff with Keith as the front man. f**king class.

That song title that you mentioned is certainly going to rile at least one of our posters.

Hopefully they got it all out of their system when the song came out in 1997.
