In the men’s semifinal we have seen how the sport has moved to a new generation.

Basically Alcaraz is the new Federer, an artist with touch and variety, skill and vision. Sinner is the son of Djokovic. Efficient, supremely professional a magnificent athlete. An Italian from the Alps who is more like a German.

I think the final on Sunday might be one of the great ones.

Ranking means nothing when you are getting whupped and on the verge of exiting the tournament

Possibly helped by the fact that his quarter final match ended up being deemed as a win due to his opponent retiring hurt.
