Unfortunately, at the opening game of the season against Exeter City, unforeseen issues were encountered with the scanning of physical Season Membership cards that had been requested and issued.
In order for then club to rectify those issues ahead of future home matches, we request that supporters select one of the following options:
- Switch to a digital card by emailing tickets@clubdoncaster.co.uk and return physical cards to the Box Office when able.
- Return physical cards to the Box Office in order to have a replacement printed ahead of the next home match.
Where possible, we ask for supporters to visit the Box Office prior to matchday in order to avoid lengthy queues.
We apologise for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
A heartfelt thanks to those with digital cards for making the first matchday with them in operation a huge success.
The manner in which you responded to information, advice and calls to action was superb and ensured a relatively smooth process for entering the stadium.
-
The issue is me, my lad and his mate live away, can’t get in to drop them off and we don’t want digital.
Not good for us really
-
I have a physical card (requested over the phone) and all was fine with mine.
Scanned first time so no problems.
-
Please contact the Box Office, either on 01302 762576 or email tickets@clubdoncaster.co.uk. Explain your situation and ask them to print you all new physical cards which you can collect on the day of the next home game you attend. Just allow a bit more time with your arrival that day to make sure you're not delayed getting into the ground once you've collected.
-
I don’t know whether mine would scan or not was just waved through didn’t try to scan it

So is this a request to get a new card anyway, even those of us who’s card worked fine for the Exeter game.

Look at it this way...
If it worked on Saturday with Exeter so you decide you will not get a replacement and it then doesn't work at the next home game, whose fault is that? Answer: YOURS!
Get a replacement!
There's a good chance they're having to replace all physical cards due to an issue - some may have worked, some may not, and it sounds like the only way to fix the issue is to replace ALL of them. Perhaps there are duplicate QR codes on cards so your card may have worked, but the duplicated person could not get in because you had 'used' that QR code. In such a situation, they would have to cancel ALL QR codes on physical cards and recreate them all so they are unique, which would cause your card to not work at the next home game even though it worked versus Exeter.
As I said, get a replacement if you have a physical card.

Pound to a penny it won't at the next home game. ;)

Well done to the club for being proactive with this

Pleasantly surprised how well the queues for the West Stand turnstiles kept moving plus it looked like many had heeded the warnings and gave themselves plenty of time. Also helps both sets of turnstiles were open.
Finally sorted out the queueing system for the food kiosks too. (Not sure whether service was quicker like)

my dad's was fine no issues

Wish I could get to a game to try my digital card out, but not allowed to drive for another two weeks
-
Mine scanned perfectly fine, and there didn't seem to be any problems with anyone at the South Stand turnstiles.

I wasn’t being contentious, just asking a question.
Liam hadn’t said that everyone should get a replacement card.

Noted. That’s why I never quoted your post. I’m actually more concerned for people who don’t get a replacement because theirs worked last time - really don’t want those people to be inconvenienced next time.
Of course, I also don’t want to be behind them in the queue when it fails!

None of the physical cards worked at the Exeter Game, they all need re issuing as digital or replacement physical. The turnstile operators were aware of this very early on Saturday and just viewed the cards to allow entry. The only cards that scanned properly were the digital ones. Many thanks to those that have already contacted us.

One of the ladies in the Rovers shop told me about that this morning.
She said we have to take the existing cards in and exchange for new ones.
She didn’t know though whether I could also collect a new one for a friend who lives quite a long distance away and won’t be able to get in before next Saturday at game time.
There could be some large queues on Saturday so want to try to avoid them.

Hi TracyB
I did email yesterday. Just waiting reply. Difficult for me, my lad and his mate

My mate who sits next to me lives in Donny and picked mine up with his and also changed it for me as I missed last week’s game.

My mate has a Physical Card and doesn't post on here
He has asked me to ask if the Card he has , and all the other Physical Cards out there have to be exchanged then are the replacements already awaiting picking up given that the problem was detected a week ago ?
If not will everyone like him get a paper replacement till new Card arrives or are they printed " on site " ?
If other people can't get to Box Office till ( say ) next Friday surely they won't get another new Card unless they are all ready to go or can be printed in situ ( sorry he took latin at School lol )
-

What else could they do it’s their problem to sort !!

Bumped for 2 above pls

They are printed on site I went in today for my dad's they said they will print it and when he pops in it should be ready but the printer is broken again,Call the club and tell him to give his name and it will be ready to collect on Saturday but my understanding is they are only reprinting them when people ask for them because how do the club know who has a physical card and who downloaded it
-
Cheers rich.
Mate went at 9 ish and one person came out without a Card as Printer not working
He went to look roubd Club shop and 2 minutes later printer was working so they brought Card out to him
Sounds like you were unlucky if you were there early
Cheers jt

Sorted.
By God, those girls in the ticket office are so good at their job, and always courteous. Over the years, they've been superb at dealing with all our issues.
Because I've no transport, Donna assured me that my 3 STs will be sent straight out by post, and there'll be no postage costs at all this time.
Brilliant service.
-
They are good aren’t they SS.
Sorted out mine with them today and also my mates, who lives away from Donny and wasn’t able to collect his before Saturday.
We anticipated that there might be big queues of people sorting tickets out on Saturday and didn’t fancy the hassle or time stood waiting.

I can echo this 100% Steve.
Impeccable service by the Box Office staff every time I’ve dealt with them.
-
Me too. Great service delivered with smiles all round

So you don’t think it’s been dealt with well ? Apologies if it takes something away from your agenda to have a pop at the club every week.

Les, since I wrote my post (that you quoted above) I have found out that none of the physical cards worked.
The turnstile operators apparently just allowed people with a card to go through.

Les, have you replaced that card with a new one? If you haven't, you seriously need to, mate, or you'll be held up at the turnstiles on Saturday.

Snap. Got a quick reply to my first one on Friday but have sent two more (Friday and Monday) with no response.
Edit: Just noticed that my subsequent emails only went to Donna and not the main ‘tickets@‘ address. Have resent to both addresses so will see if I get a reply. Live in Coventry and can’t get to Doncaster much before kick-off on Saturday so would like the new one to be posted out to me.
