That is now 13 consecutive league games in which we have scored, and is the second longest scoring run live at present in the 92. Liverpool are way, way ahead on a 34 match league scoring run, then us on 13. We are just under half way towards beating our own record of 27 consecutive league games (1934/35).

Since we drew at Bradford in March 2024, our record is:
P59 W36 D13 L10
I'm struggling to think of a better run in the last 50 years while I've been watching us.

6 league wins in a row too?

That run, Billy, equates to 94 points in a season. 2.051 ppg for over a season and a quarter. Some going.

Maybe just before your time, but not before mine we had a good finish to 1967-68 (coinciding with the fabulous deal which took Watson and Leigh to Rotherham and we recieved Wilcockson, Clish and Rabjohn and some cash), won the title the following season and had a great start to life in Tier 3 in 1969-70 as follows:
1967-68 last 19 games :W11 D5, L3
1968-69 all 46 games: W21, D17, L8
1969-70 first 14 games: W8 D4 L2
A total of P79 W40, D26, L13
More draws in those days with only 2 points per win
Edit: A more recent run
2002-03 All season: P42, W22, D12, L8
2003-04 All season: P46, W27, D11, L8
2004-05 win first match
Total P89, W50, D23, L16
Of course the first season above was Conference and not Football League
Good as they are, neither beat the ppg of the current (albeit shorter) run.

In 1934-35 there was actually an abandoned match in the middle of that run in which we also scored (Halifax at Home abandoned with Rovers 2-1 up) :scarf:

Perhaps our current scoring run is the raisin I am optimistic I’ll see us win next Saturday.. :chair:
