I'd just like to say what an exceptional display that was tonight.
People were questioning why we re-signed him and his position in the squad.
Just watched his post match interview and that, combined with the display, is exactly why.
What a display and what a professional.
Hats off to the fella.

Seconded

Superb. Great energy to have and a huge heart. He's took his opportunity with both hands (literally).
One of the best keeper displays I've seen in ages.
-
So pleased for him he’s had the dogs abuse from a section of our fans
-
Totally agree. Fantastic saves. Commanding in the air.
-
I have stated on another thread, one of the best performance by a rovers keeper in the last few years, particularly given the competitive game time he has had.
-
Absolutely outstanding. Could start Saturday and every game based on that performance.
He’s Rovers number one…etc.
-
I watched up to about 80mins. Lawlor made some great saves but they were all at a good height for him nothing much low or on the floor

How can anyone be less than 100% satisfied after that display?
-
I was satisfied with his performance

Had to add a BUT though didn't you.

He just achieved his personal best as a Rovers goalie, doesn't get any better than that.
Fantastic effort, failing to save any one of those efforts would have changed the game massively. He was also bright and sharp throughout, his distribution was good and released it early when he could, I don't think anyone could have asked for a better performance.
This will raise standards for all the other goalies at the club which will benefit the club massively. Well done IL and all the goalie team.

That's good of you
-
Never been a big Ian Lawlor fan but I thought he was superb last night, well played sir

Was I correct?

There's no doubt he's got better since his return to the club and that's credit to him and the goalkeeping coaches. He put in some good performances last season too.
He was one if not the first signing GM made when he returned to the club and I was deffo one of those who said 'Wtf.."
McCann proves every week, he is a good manager and man manager.
-
Outstanding Performance from him, I will put my hands up and admit I’m not his best fan, but that was sweet
-
I wouldn't have been too upset if he'd been released at the end of last season, but now I think he's a keeper.
