Tonight’s team, 3 changes
COYR
-
Sbarra???
-
Sbarra???
Played well against Borough, as did everyone.
-
I know, but not convinced by him over a period of games. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong :-)
-
I wonder what weakness they’ve seen in Huddersfield for Sbarra to play ahead of a few others. Not knocking him genuinely interested. GM is backing up it’s a team for the occasion and never a 1st 11.
-
Let’s be right. He’s rotten. Nowhere near good enough. Along with Clifton, they’re easily our weakest point of the team. Just cannot for the life of me understand how they’re still here.

Ridiculous take

You need to look up hyperbole in the dictionary son.
-
Not having Clifton in the team is a strange one. He is very solid and can play lots of positions. Type of player every good team needs

opinions eh? I can spot a non league player when I see one though.

Clifton not even a sub. I wonder what the reason might be?

Hudders made a few changes too. 2 new CBs

No Close again.....

A swift ball to the spherical plurals at high speed should sort that.
-
Great start by the Rovers
-
Great start by the Rovers
It has been.
-
And the first goal of the night goes to Crewe Alexandra away at Fleetwood.
BobG
-
Huge chance for Middleton!
-
Luton scored v Wigan. I detest Wigan.

Og too .
-
Very encouraging first 15, carving out some chances.
-

And that's why Grant is a efl football manager and your not!
As others say we have started great,as good as Boro game and Hudders defense seem poorer than Boro's,but while it evens stevens, you just know they got quality that could punish us,and our fans sound in good voice too
-
Sick of McGrath forever giving possession away with aimless long balls
-
We could easily be 2 or 3 up. Hudders haven't laid a glove on us.
-
We should be 3 up, really hoping this isn’t going to bite us on the backside because if this is a multi million pound outfit and favourites for promotion chuff me how good are the Rovers
-
We can bo dominant all we want... but we have to take our chances.
-
Huddersfield having a tactical time out to regathet their thoughts.
West Yorkshire commentators saying we're all over them.
-
Owen Goodman doing Owen Goodman stuff again. What a timewasting shithouse.
-
Great save
-
Soon as Huddersfield have the time out they have the best chance of the game
How the flip are we not winning
-
If we don't score while we're on top......
-
Really good game to watch
-
Really worried that we don't make these chances count could easily be 3 nil up here rovers
-
Its like the Bromley away game last season, how on earth have we not scored
-
It’s just highlighting how much we need another striker, fair play to Billy but third start in a week at his age isn’t what we or he needs
-
We're doing great - just keep on doing it....
-
Excellent first half. Well played rovers. Just need that goal…
-
Great first half, should be at least 2 up
-
Entertaining though!
-
We are AGAIN the better team.... but come on Rover bang one in the f**king goal.
-
I thought we’d struggle tonight, but we played really well that half. Hope we’re not going to rue the missed chances though. Surely Huddersfield can’t be as bad in the second half
-
How many times in that first championship season did we come away being the far better team, creating a host of chances and lost the game 1-0.
That is what I’m feeling right now, we are a good striker away from promotion here by the look of it.
-
Yup.
-
Need to keep going as we are for the first 10 mins of the 2nd half. Can't let them come out and dictate play. We need to re-establish dominance
-
I’d have Sbara off and Ajayi on
-
Got to put our chances away when they come along! Huddersfield didnt look too dangerous but they do have quality in their ranks & we know Alfie can score from nothing!
-
Sounds like a few have already decided we're going to lose this.
We might wish for another striker but how many chances would have fallen to that striker?
We've just got to keep trying to do the right things against the title contenders in their own back yard. Believe!!
-
I’d have Sbara off and Ajayi on
Sbarra has done well. Fluffed his lines on the 1 on 1, took too many touches, but other than that hasn't given the Udders defence a moment's peace and has won the ball back for us a good number of times.
-
I can’t watch the game tonight but to me it is very encouraging that we are (at the least) competitive with teams like Huddersfield and Wycombe just gone, not forgetting Boro too. I want us to finish as high as we can, but the first priority is stability in the new division. Let’s take it one game at a time and see how it goes.!
-
I reckon Nixon is having a good game
-
The press has been unbelievable. Will need subs to keep it up.
Hudds manager seemingly another ideological purist who doesn’t know what to do when someone stops you playing the woke stuff.
-
What the hell does “playing the woke stuff” mean.??
-
Are they playing in a rainbow kit?
-
I've read some shit on here in the past 20 odd years but I think "playing the woke stuff" is top of the pile.
-
To play out from the back, even in highly risky situations.
And I used the term in a joking sort of manner. Never mind.
-
Crew and Gotts on for Sbarra and Broadbent.
-
So that's woke? Wow
-
They are well on top now unfortunately.
-
Sbarra and Broadbent off, Gotts and Crew on.
-
Under the cosh a bit now - but they were always going to have a spell
-
They are well on top now unfortunately.
I disagree. The game is quite even now.
-

We have Sean Dyche on our forum! :woohoo:
-
On comes Ajayi!

Hahaha I’m glad you understood the humour there BRR.
-
Billy should score...
-
f**k!
-
Crew lost his man there.
-
Ffs
-
Pen Hudders.
-
Disgraceful decision
-
We can complain all we want, but it was us who didn't make our dominance pay. It's going to be a recurring theme this season with no able goal scorer.
-
Never a pen
-
2-0.. some very good work undone by sloppy mistakes.
-
Give that and there are 20 penalties every game
-
How was that a pen?
-
Thats what happens when you don’t take your chances, but that was never a penalty
-
Disgraceful decision
Pulling his shirt but he went down like Domino Rally
-
A game that proves we're crying out for a number 9. Solid everywhere but in front of goal
-
O’ Riordan nearly had his shirt off his back
-
Looking for positives it sounds like we’ve been good apart from scoring. Play like that often and surely the goals will come.?
-
Well, that's b*llocks. Never a pen. But we should be away and clear already.
-
Strange subs from GM. Both wingers off who looked still very lively and then Hanlan on who needs the service from the latter. Would have liked ti see Ajayi on from the start too. Huddersfield should think themselves fortunate but we are ultimately paying for not taking our chances first half.
-
O’ Riordan nearly had his shirt off his back
Hardly
-
Reality check we needed. Talk of promotion was going too far. Still competed well and looks like we’ve nothing to fear in L1
-
And by the way, why was the Huddersfield player not booked earlier when he put the ball in the net after the offside had been given. Have they changed that rule. Moly had a second yellow and a red for that last season
-
Would you believe it after all the positive first half play. Missed being able to finish. Not sure about subs.
-
GM will be fuming.
-
And now another Huddersfield player kicks the ball away after offside and no yellow
-
On Huddersfield forum they’re saying Grant did them a favour taking Mols and Middleton off
-
Ref was awful in the last 20 minutes - OK until then
-
A lot of positives to take from that. But gutting after our first half
-
On Huddersfield forum they’re saying Grant did them a favour taking Mols and Middleton off
Bit of strange decision to take both off at the same time. They were our main creative outlet.
-
Oh well, not to be tonight, didn’t take our chances in the first half
Onwards and upwards
COYR
-
Well. We move on. Played well but we need to kill these games when we're in the ascendency.
-
On Huddersfield forum they’re saying Grant did them a favour taking Mols and Middleton off
And they also agree it wasn't a pen...
-
Really good performance from the lads.
Very unlucky.
Billy puts that big chance away and it’s a different story.
-
A game that proves we're crying out for a number 9. Solid everywhere but in front of goal
While i do agree that we really need a no9.
It still wouldnt of changed that middleton failed to score when 1v1 with keeper, sbarra not getting a shot away when clean through and also broadbent putting wide with keeper way out of position.
As much as a no9 is needed, others need to hold there hands up.

Ref had no choice. Clear shirt pulling in a 1v1 between the 2 players in the area with no one else around them.
We would of been screaming if it wasnt given to us
-

Grants subs have done us in the last two games, however the game should've been all over at half time
-
I don’t think we would. It was very soft

Not enough for a pen in my opinion very soft!
-
At least Alfie May didn’t score and we’ve been spared endless pages of argument over multiple different new posts.
-
Not a lot to choose between the two sides, has to be a good omen for the season.
-

He posed no threat whats so ever tonight.
In fact was a performance which would make a huddersfield fan wonder what they have spent good money on

I agree it was soft.
But you cannot be pulling a shirt in a situation like that.
We all know how easy pens are given these days
-
The bas**rds

Did he touch the ball?
ran around like a little lad lost

Bit like last week then when the shirt was very clearly pulled by by the Wycombe player we all saw it from the south end of the West stand the ref clearly had no choice oh hang on he clearly did cos he totally ignored it
-
If its lack of consistency you’re complaining about then we could agree, its a blight on the professional game that frustrates us all but complaining because a ref had the audacity to make a correct call against one of our players in poor.
-
Soft penalty. Never seen them given for all the dragging around at corners.
