TLT always dives before the penalty taker kicks it. He did the same against Crewe in the playoffs it drives me spare

I hadn't realised how soft that penalty was. Absolute shocker

Never a pen in a month of Sundays, mentioned on another thread that I thought maybe the keeper could have done better  from the 1st goal but looks a good finish from the replay so wrong on that account.

Yeah one of the worst penalty decisions ever that one.

Poor defending by Crew for first goal he was with Wiles then let him get away from him and the penalty was a joke referee waiting all game to give them something
Our finishing is poor and needs to improve fast
You can’t control games like that and not put teams away. Its not just a striker it’s other players aswell.
Sbarra apart from running does nothing and Molyneux tired badly as the game went on.
What won Huddersfield the game apart from a poor penalty decision was their subs were better than ours. Changing all the front three doesn’t work at one time doesn’t work.

Don't know how anybody can complain about the penalty yes it's soft but its clear as day he's grabbing his shirt. If that's up the other end and not given we'd be slating the officials for not giving it

The ironic thing about it though is that in the first half the ref missed several shirt pulls on our players which led to attacks being stopped.

Extended highlights here, it's a sore one to take, we were excellent last night.

Just like the one for us last Saturday? Not given!

They seemed very biased highlights and missed a lot of our chances

It is a weakness of his. Dives so early. Just needs to hold his movement as he's plenty powerful enough to get across goal quickly.

That pen was so soft.
I find it fascinating that some regular posters are very quick to come on here when we get a soft pen awarded or are sometimes fortunate to win a game etc etc but rarely come on here when we have decisions that go against us like they did last night.

He had a grip of his shirt in full view of the referee, stopping Taylor skipping past him, which he probably would have done. You can see it on the extended highlights at 9:58.

There was also an offside given against Huddersfield that was very close and possibly marginally onside which had a very good chance of leading to a goal.

I thought exactly the same on the penalty.

I can think of, at least, 3 occasions when Rovers players had their shirts pulled and nothing given. The ref was a Homer. He got the drop ball wrong as well which led to the first goal.

Absolute garbage officiating.

He didn't get the drop ball wrong. The rules have changed this season.

Which is?

Which is?

outside the penalty area – the ball is dropped for a player of the team that has or would have gained possession if this is clear to the referee; otherwise, it is dropped for a player of the team that last touched it. The ball is dropped at its position when play was stopped

Nixon was the last player!

The penalty was soft but it was correct. If you don’t want to give away a penalty then don’t have a handful of the other players shirt.

Nixon was the last player!

Nixon was the last player to touch it but Huddersfield were the team who would next have gained possession.

OK, if that’s the case, why isn’t there a penalty after every corner?

If you drag a player down with a handful of shirt and the ref sees it then it is a penalty, whether it’s a corner or not.

That’s exactly my point, Steve, there’s shirt pulling at every corner. At times, it’s like a rugby scrum!
The thing is, though, Connor didn’t bring him down - he threw himself down!

Then Connor gave hime the opportunity to go down.  Whichever way you want to dress it, it was rank bad defending. Tell me he wasn't impeding the player's run by pulling him back by the collar.

Our players missed a lot of our chances as well, Dude.
