Who do you want?
-
Man Utd at old Trafford. Use the cash for a new striker.
-
If we want a big club, we need to be one of the first 8 balls pulled from pot 2, as far as I understand. Excepting those Premier league clubs who are not in Europe (e.g. ManU) - they’ll also be in pot 2.
-
A home tie for once.
Probably end up away at Swansea or Southampton!
-
Man Utd (I know they don’t play until tonight but if they can’t put a side out to beat Grimsby…) or Everton. Both away for the revenue from the gate money plus a nice trip to Everton’s new ground would be nice.
But for maximum revenue, Man Utd at Old Trafford every time.

aren't they both in the southern section?

It’s not regionalised in the next round is it?
-
No.
-
I'm sure that I have read that the sides that are in europe are pre-drawn before the Grimsby v Man U game to decide whether they are home or away.
-
I've got a feeling it's gonna be Millwall.
-
If we dont get a big draw then would be happy with Cambridge home or away as its a tie we could have better chance at progressing.
-
A big pay day anywhere . For the club coffers and a good evening out please. Probably end up with Wycombe away. Or Cambridge .
-
Pre draw first before Grimsby and ManUtd game to decide whether the 8 European teams are home or away. These are in pot 1
The after the game first 8 games will be drawn from pot 1 and Pot 2which team is drawn from pot1 will know home or away already.
Then the last 8 games will be drawn normally from Pot 2

is that until everyone starts moaning about the £40 tickets
-
£40 means £3 million on gate receipts at 75k crowd. Some other sections cost even more at OT

The way they are playing at the moment they’ll be lucky to be in the draw
-
Grimsby at home anyone????!!! They’re certainly the better team so far! :byebye:
-
Yep, won’t be going to old Trafford.
-
A winnable game … Cambridge at home, it’s a 5/6 year and a Quarter Final is in order.
-
Yep, won’t be going to old Trafford.
Too expensive or you think they won't come back ?
-

Do you think OT would sell out for a league cup tie vs DRFC.???
-
So far it won't be old Trafford more likely to be blundell park
-
Grimsby away
-

I think Grimsby are having a say in that!
-
Everton away. New stadium looks mega and Liverpool is the best night out.
-
Everton away would be good. I work for the firm that built it so nice to go back and see it in use
-
So far it won't be old Trafford more likely to be blundell park
Forget that game on should have been 3 nil to Grimsby but lino and ref get it wrong
-
Man Utd looking the most likely winners just now.
-
Penalties 9-9 so far, this is going to be the most nerve racking finish to a game for Grimsby for years!
-
Delaying draw here massively
-
12-11 to Grimsby, Crikey, that is one hell of a game for them!
-
Longest and dullest pens of all time that felt like. Grimsby fairytale until they draw us no doubt.

Congratulations Grimsby.
Why not? Keeps it local!
-
Brilliant from the Inflatable Mackerels
-
I hope we get Grimsby home or away !!
-

 not a chance, delighted they lost though would have liked a trip there in round three.
-
Well done Grimsby took the game to man utd just like we did Vs Middlesbrough these big teams don't like it up em
-
I’m thinking Liverpool away or Everton at the new stadium
-
What time is the draw?
-

Think he’s more fuming with the result in Belgium tonight haha
-
Premiership, an overpaid circus act. Give us Cambridge at home
-
Just have a feeling in my bones for a London club.
-

Would be great if we draw Grimsby ... and Anti and Uncle Climax
Come ooooonn
-
What time is the draw?
3am at this rate!
-
Sky something or other . Main event ?
-
Delighted for Grimsby. Not to mention the £15 at 11/1 to win the tie and the £5 at 13/2 for a draw after 90. Cher ching! Utd are the gift that keeps on giving.
-
Spurs away
-
Tottenham away
-
Great draw
-
Get in - spurs away
-
Ok good chance for TV main game
-
Not sure it will be there’s 3 other good games
-
Just have a feeling in my bones for a London club.
My mind flashed back to 1975 or whatever is was, White Hart Lane, 2-2 at half time.
Spare a thought for Paul Mayfield booking all the coaches.
-
At Donny it’d be stuck on for telly. Not so much at their place
-
It's been the draw I've wanted for a long time now, absolutely buzzing!
-
This tie would cover cost for a bid for Rob street ?
-
What allocation we guessing?
-
Normally 3k
-
Sell 3k easy.
-
GET IN!!!
New ground, day out, cash for the club.
-
Been twice, 1 hell ov a ground
-
What allocation we guessing?
Away teams have to receive at least 10% of ground capacity in the Carabao.
-
This tie would cover cost for a bid for Rob street ?
I'm sure that thought has crossed a few minds.
Has the loan lad entered the building yet?
-
Chas and Dave, Alan Sugar, Adele, David Pleat, Telly Vegetables... your boys are in for a hell of a game innit ducks
-
It’s probably one of the most lucrative ties we could have got. Club has to be very, very happy with this
-
A brilliant draw for us, I hope I can get a ticket for this!
Guessing that Ajayi won't be allowed to play in this match though.
-

I think it is THE most lucrative tie we could have possibly got, given Man U weren’t in the draw (haha) and Spurs have the highest capacity stadium after them.

so a tickle over 6k
-
Spurs play in the champions league week commencing 15th September. So it's going to be 23rd or 24th September.
-
Spurs don’t yet know when they will play in the champions league.
The draw will take place later today.
The dates will be set no later than Saturday, only then will they know if they play in the champions league on wc 15th or wc 22nd.
-
Sorry, the information I read about the champions league was incorrect, so yes it will definitely be wc 22nd
-
This has got wednesday written all over it. Sky will split the champs league teams over 2 nights and Spurs play Sunday after. They won't care about our Saturday game
-
A potentially lucrative draw, but yet again drawn away
-
Normally 3k
We took 4K to arsenal mid week

Anyone wanting to use Train, last train back to Donny is 23:33, so an 8pm kick off makes unlikely you’ll make it back to Kings Cross in time
-

Whilst the away end will sell out for sure, does anyone think spurs will sell the rest of the ground out.? I guess some of their fans who can’t normally get a ticket may go after their ST holders get first dibs.
But even at 2/3 capacity it’s a decent whack.
-

It’ll be a 7.45 kick off but even at 8 there’s plenty of time unless it goes to penalties.
-
Spurs website have it as w/c 22/9 due to Champs league.
Would normally use the Train for London away, but feels like hard work getting back to KX.
-
Smack in the middle of Champions League and Premier League fixtures for them. How likely they will field a much weakened team? Might we have a decent chance of winning?

. Be aware it can take an age to get out and away from the ground. Big ques for train etc.

Theres a station at WHL, 5 minutes walk. No point giving out duff info.
-
The closest station is going to be rammed, maybe that’s why an alternative was suggested.?
-
If I go it will be on a supporters coach.
Easy peazie.
-
I don’t live near Doncaster so the coach would t be an option. But as I’m working anyway……

A mate of mine from Donny is a Spurs Season ticket holder and he says any fans travelling by train will easily make the 23:33 train. He also said to use Northumberland Park tube station which is a 10/15 minute walk as it’s a lot quieter.

But the Overground trains in and out of White Hart Lane are much less frequent (and have less capacity) than the Tube, so whilst it saves you the walk, it's unlikely to get you back to central London quicker, unless you leave the game before full-time.

Do they not put on extra trains on match day?

I've done that walk, no way is it 15 mins..
-
Not sure extra transport will be needed. Back in DEC 1975 26 thousand ish watched quarter final at WHL, of which i was 1. Not sure crowd will exceed that.

What was the midweek crowd at The emirates the other year ?

44,064 which at that time and potentially still, was their lowest ever gate at the Emirates.

Beat me to it . A whopping crowd for rovers and yet the opposite for their first team . I’ll
Take that again , as I’m sure drfc will .
-

51k Spurs lowest attendance at the new stadium (i think). You'd imagine our attendance there will start with a 4.
-
When they played Morecambe in 2022 the crowd was 40,310, ticket prices were £20

Not in my past experience and I don't think the Overground network has the option to add extra trains beyond their scheduled service. Might have changed for Tottenham matchdays, but I doubt it.
The other thing is if you get a train from White Hart Lane you're going to have to change at Seven Sisters anyway, or at Liverpool Street... so you may as well walk to the Tube if you can. Or to Northumberland Park station as someone suggested up thread.

Longer?
Shorter?

Northumberland Park is a rail rather than a tube (Underground) station. It’s about a 15 minute walk once you are out of the stadium. Maybe massive crowds might add 5 minutes on to the walk on a bad day.
