10% of capacity for cup games so 6k
-
A good draw hopefully a money spinner for us
-
My first ever away match (7-2)
Looking for a long awaited revenge…

Everton allowed 6000+ Mansfield supporters tonight, I can’t see any problems at Spurs
-
Just had a quick look, Liverpool got 5800 there last year, so probably that. Can't imagine it's a big tie for spurs fans given they have European games so they'd probably give us a lot.

Sorry, I meant that mainly for season ticket holders.
-
Could be played w/c 15th Sept, with Spurs being in Europe.
-
Nope, w/c 22nd for teams in Champions League…and that’s the week I’m on holiday :crying:
Anyone fancy 10 days in Spain?
-
Please don’t be the 16th. I fly home that day. 17th or the other week please
-
Great draw. For anyone who’s not been it’s a wonderful stadium. Fingers crossed I’ll be there probably with a few of the Tottenham lads in their end.
-

It will probs be 23rd or 24th of September
-
Brilliant draw. Memories of 75 fifth round. Pat Jennings, Martin Chivers and erm Les Chappell. Happy days.
-
I'm away 12th to 20th Sept.
W/C 22nd would do lovely!
-
Spurs have said it will be week commencing the 22nd
-
Fantastic drawer, my lad is a season ticket holder at Spurs. We’ve been hoping for this draw for years!! What a day!
-
From Spurs website......
We have been drawn at home against League One side Doncaster Rovers in the third round of this season's Carabao Cup.
Third round ties will take place in the weeks commencing 15 and 22 September* and, with Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League scheduled for 16-18 September, our third round tie will take place in the week commencing 22 September.
The date, kick-off time and ticket information of our tie will follow in due course.
-
Perfect for me too as I'm away the week 15th Seprt

The banters already started with a Spurs season ticket holder old friend of mine :) :)

Its a fanastic stadium. Saw spurs v inter in champions league a couple of years back. Its worth a trip. The concourses are amazing and wasnt too expensive for London. Not a rip off like the Emirates.
-
9000 is the maximum they can offer over 3 tiers for away fans for cup games

Same here, in Barcelona with work!! FFS!! First time we get a decent draw in years and I’m stuck hundreds of miles away with a bunch of boring medical advisers! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Last time at the old White Hart Lane was for the Youth Cup Semi-Final when a late Mark Rankine goal took us through to the final against Arsenal & a certain Mr Kevin Campbell!

No chance we are taking 9000 down to Londres on a weeknight...

How many did we take to Arsenal?
-
Was it around 4500.
-
And very few at the 1987 second leg at Highbury.
Not surprising as we’d lost the home leg 0-3.
I went, but only because I was in London at the time..
-
Pretty sure we took 5k to Arsenal

I went, we called at Baldock on the way there and went in The George and Dragon pub, someone I was with and still goes now asked the woman/girl behind the bar if George was about, she didn’t get it .

I just cant get my head around the fact that so many more people want to go to a game to see us play a Prem team in a new stadium than want to go to Boro for example. Whats the thought process? Do they want to see the Prem players? Just to see a nice ground? Ive had messages today "i wouldnt mind going to that one", from people that would come to one game a season and never go to an away game. In my head no one game is hugely different to another. There are the big jeopardy games, like playoffs etc, that have something different, but this is no different to Boro away for me, a team we dont play very often in a cup competition.

I think it’s the pull of a premier league team full of internationals,

Why not just go and watch them then? Maybe its seeing a team you quite like play against internationals. I dont know.
-
For me it’s the pull of the potential giant killing.
-
For me it is one of only three team grounds that I haven’t visited.
I was working when we played Spurs away last time. Never been to Chelsea and couldn’t make Bromley. At 76 I’m running out of time to get the full 92.

This will be on the Wednesday looking at the fact spurs play Sunday after

They play on the Saturday before which means it could be either really. If they played on the Sunday before it would have definitely been Wednesday. TV will decide, feels like it could be a TV game though.

It will be a TV game regardless, all ties are on Sky Sports +

Wasn't that the youth team though, IDM, in the FA Youth Cup?
-
No. First team, league cup.

No. First team, league cup.
I stand corrected.
I can't remember much about the Rovers at that time, as I was studying at college.

Yes ditto Idler
This game is carrying many different "draws"
For some the chance to go on the Ground of one of the "current 92" if they are happy with collecting that way
For some it will be chance to go on the current Ground of all the 92 Clubs having "collected" a Teams previous Ground . ( 1 and 2 are similar but not the same )
Finally some people like to collect Rovers playing at every Stadium they can
Like you I'm running out of years to hit the current 92 Grounds , still 6 clubs short Exeter Plymouth Cardiff Swansea Bournemouth Brighton and Brentford Spurs and West Ham oh and bloody Everton in the new Ground category
So lots of reasons for lots of different people but my main reason for going is to see this :

Rovers have played at Boro in recent years . Many rovers supporters will have never seen rovers play a spurs side at their place, let alone in a new stadium. And may never get the chance again. It’s a once in a lifetime draw pretty much. Had United made the draw, a game at there place would have been the first since 1935 for instance. The Spurs draw is a rare fixture. Prior to 2009 it’s been 50 years. Boro just isn’t as attractive .we’ve played Boro in all comps 25 times compared to spurs 9.mansfield took 6thousand to Everton . They wouldn’t have taken half that if it was Boro. For the same reasons .

The prices were heavily discounted at Emirates. £ 10 adult and £5 kids, that level will not be repeated at Spurs.

Surely, NR, 1975 is 'only' 34 years before 2009?
Cheers!

£37 last year Spurs charged in the cup
-
If Rovers get 40% of gate receipts, then Tottenham can charge what they like.
Haven’t they also got beer stations that fill the glass from the bottom? That’s got to be worth seeing just on its own.
-
Could buy Rob Street with the money.

Why not go and watch a team in London every week?
If you’re not a full blown supporter then I think it’s obvious why you’d rather go on a day out to a big club/stadium like spurs rather than a trip to mk dons. If you’re a proper fan then you’re right it makes no difference.
But the extra numbers will be made up of people who are just wanting a day out at a prem club

For me, I'd love to go to all of them. But it means a bit of time off work so I have to pick and choose. Clearly I would do it for spurs having never been but for Accrington and Middlesbrough on TV it doesn't make as much sense. I've never seen us play spurs (was working in America last time we did) so a ticking off one really.
