Rovers v Bradford on Sky+ today 3 pm KO
-
Many thanks. Just noticed this at half time whilst listening to Rovers + and watching the goals on Sky Sports Sat.
Now watching the second half live. Whopee!
-
Yeah when the premier league isn’t on they are allowed to show 3 o’clocks
-
If you keep the stream live you can rewind.
I’m now watching the first half - much more fun.

Only when it’s international weekend

I’m not sure that’s right because they were on the first week of the season obviously before the premier league started and no international breaks then.

Sky put the 1st and last games on of the season now, and from a couple of years ago they show all the Saturday games on a international weekend, it’s because the international qualifiers are all on terrestrial television now

The blackout comes into effect when 50% of fixtures in the top two divisions are scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
Seems like this is the answer upon looking into it.

To me this rule has stay in effect for years to come, this time of year people will go and watch live matches, but come the winter months when it’s cold, damp and horrible etc more people will stop in especially if there’s a live match on. I don’t just mean in the league all the way down the pyramid

It is pretty archaic though really considering a vast number of people can get the 3 kick offs now regardless.
