We are having development carried out at the Cantley training ground, and that’s all we need to know, it’s progress updates would be nice but other clubs processes or requirements has little or baring on . DRFC and our progress of building for the future . A Terry Bramhall legacy is what’s being carried right know and it’s being replicated on the pitch with the quality of the squad and its consistency of performances.

As shown by the OP, the standard of training facilities at other clubs - thus the comparison of them with Rovers - has a massive amount of influence as to whether or not a prospective player might come to Rovers or go another club.

That’s not far from where the team trained in the days of Peter Doherty, Syd Bycroft etc!

Hell fire man , the op is showing how important Bradford think something we are doing is . So seems entirely reasonable to point out a granted current basket case championship side also want this one day .

I played on those Sandal Beat pitches many times in the 60s and early 70s. I remember being warned not to leave valuables in the changing rooms because there had been a few incidents of people breaking in and pinching stuff.

Likewise, left.my.late Dads watch in my jeans pocket. The scrotes managed to get into the roof space in the changing rooms and dropped down through a hatch in the ceiling and nicked it. Strangely it was the only thing that went missing

Juventus in their hey day used to train on pristine pitches so many days a week and one day on a pitch that was intentionally a poor surface to promote better ball control.
I doubt very much that most of the African, Asian, and South American stars currently playing with top sides in Europe started off on pristine pitches.
I can see why top class facilities are required for top professionals are the norm, but during a bad winter which we haven't had for a while the best of pitches will take an hammering.
That's why 4g pitches are the norm in Northern Europe even for league and some European games.

I played for the old Park Hotel for a season around 1981ish on those pitches. I remember we had stuff nicked out of the changing rooms and cars vandalised quite often around there.
Nowhere was quite as bad as Upton and Hemsworth though.
