Unfortunately died only 61 RIP Mark
-
Sorry just seen it’s on the former player thread
-
Sad news, RIP
-
Used to see him quite regular in the Costcutter down Church Balk when I worked there, real nice guy!
Quite disappointed there's nothing on the Rovers Facebook page though about this, only found out from someone sharing what Scunny had posted. RIP Mark!

RIP Mark. Always sad to see an old player go but even more so when they are a lot younger than yourself.
-
Goodness me, that is sad news.
Also makes you realise how time marches on for all of us.
-
Shocking news. He scored a beauty for Rovers at Belle Vue, may have been his only goal in a Rovers shirt. Had a brief chat once when he called at our house when he worked for one of the utility companies, lovely guy. Condolences to family & friends. RIP.

Free Press stealing these obituaries

Re the last comment about ‘Free Press stealing obituaries’, that seems like a cheap shot at a time when it’s not really necessary given the subject matter.
Fans are paying their respects and so why shouldn’t we reference that in the article? Not the time or the place IMO

Really sad news. I remember sharing a pint and a chat with him, Peter Heritage and Clive Freeman in the lounge of the old Main Stand at Belle Vue. A really nice and friendly bloke. RIP.

There was no disrespect intended

I think most people who were Rovers fans in that era would say that 1992-93 was a pretty average season. However, it included two of the greatest goals scored by Rovers players. Mark Hine's superb volley against Carlisle and Kieron Brady"s rocket at Scunny.

Kieron Brady what a player he was/could have been
Had a few chats with Mark after he left us seemed to enjoy it here
