Title: Wigan Skylights

Both the first 2 goals are errors by TLT.
Why on earth is he punching that ball out when it looks an easy take?

Poorly edited. Rovers early penalty call not included, no replays and excessive shots of Wigan players celebrating.

I think TLT should be saving the third too.

He’s had a shocker

Even though TLT should be catching that, the issue for me is where he is punching it to.

Surely if he decides on punching it then that should of been punched out towards the touchline and oit of danger and not back into the centre where he did.

Its the same with headed clearences.
Ro-shaun williams was a master at heading them back into the danger zone

TLT could have done marginally better, but it lloks like the first goal was deflected past him to the scorer. The second should be punched more to the side. The third I think he was blinded by the defender. Would be good to hear his take before judging too harshly.

The first is a terrible keeper error, the third he has to save

Not TLT’s best game but keepers do have them.
Blades have a very good keeper but 2 goals went through his legs against Ipswich.
I still think he’ll prove to be a great keeper for us.

Loads of shots go in the net having gone through the keepers legs.

All 3 goals were poor defending by the whole team. The first goal came about because we switched off with everyone claiming for the penalty (rightly so), but you can’t Just stop. The second, only 1 person slid in to try and block - after that, it was a free hit. The third was a good effort but we had a man running alongside their lad and not challenging.

Contrast all that with how Wigan defended - in numbers and 3 or 4 players round the man with the ball. We didn’t have space to breather, never mind play football.

Add to that certain players were way off it - Moly, Gibson, Pearson and TLT being just 4. I thought GM’s interview was spot on.

That will not be the last very tough away game we have this season. They have a wage bill at around £12m which is probably double ours. All you can hope is that we have learned from what was a hiding.

I think Timmy would be disappointed with all three but he also pulled off three great saves at least. We just weren't good enough yesterday. Simple as that. Very similar to the first half at Port Vale where we somehow went in level whe  we could have been two or three down.

The first was a shocker. The second was poor. He should have saved the third. Given his blunder against Bradford (like the first yesterday) I hope his confidence has not been hit.

Keepers can’t give soft goals away on a regular basis. We would criticise previous keepers much more than he has received post match.

He needs a solid next game and I’m sure the management will be helping that be the case.

We move on.

TLT is a fans’ favourite but we are right to identify his recent lapses .Grant was very honest about the team’s overall performance at Wigan and did not crucify any single player not even Tim which is right of him  not to do in public of course.

Few had shockers yesterday those highlights made it look that Wigan had a crowd

Oh dear, that's the first time I've seen the highlights.

First goal, similar to the Bradford goal in a sense, did the player sliding in at the front post get a slight touch on it therefore causing TLT to spill it?

Second goal, looks like he could comfortably catch that.

Third goal, well hit and around quite a few bodies before it goes in, could still maybe do a bit better though.

First off, we've got to get tighter and stop these crosses coming in.

The whole team lapsed, Graing! I think that’s why Grant held back. If he’d crucified TLT, he’d have been there for half an hour having a go about the rest of the team.
It was a very uncomfortable watch!
