Updated Apple security & problem seems to have ‘gone’.
-
Just tried logging on, same problem for me as everybody else, takes me to a page to accept cookies, then uploads a page with 3 Doncaster Rovers items on it. Been like this for me for 4 or 5 days. It eventually let's me on after I keep trying. Weird.
-
Yep, still getting them intermittently.
-
It's an issue with the site host, and it's being addressed with them.
Apologies to everyone struggling to reach the site.

Demand a rebate from them

And damages!
-
Still the same problem logging on for me.
-
Sometimes I get the cookies bug and occasionally I manage to read two or three posts before it strikes again.
-
Web host is not doing a very good job of sorting it out
-
I've just got in after trying all day. Won't be long before it goes again though.
This seriously needs sorting, as the site is no longer fit for purpose.
-
This is not on who can sort it?
-
Just managed to get on hard work though !
-
Only second time I’ve got on today.
Can’t we change the service provider?
-
Even when I get into the site, clicking to go to a page I want to read usually results in either no progress at all, page hung, or, page flips to a blank screen and stays that way. Reloading it occasionally (!) results in progress but almost always doesn't.

I’m still getting the pop ups this morning.
-
Often happens, I try both iPad and phone, very frustrating.
-
I managed to get on once yesterday despite trying repeatedly all day. Worked first time this morning but expect another day of shutout. This needs sorting.
-
I’m still getting the pop ups this morning.
Lucky man. Age put paid to that for me.

Have they got anything I can Pop in the Wife’s Cuppa?
-
Re the OP I’m struggling to get on the Web page as well.
-
Likewise, becoming unusable so may take a break for a week or two.
-
Same here. Nightmare trying to open any topics up. Miracle I’ve got on to add to this topic.
-
We've been on to the host on and off all day today. It's definitely something they've done but the intermittent nature of the issue is proving tricky to resolve.
I know it's frustrating but we're hoping to get this sorted soon.

Bin them if they can’t fix it

There have been some changes made to the config. Fingers crossed this is it sorted.
I'm sure you'll all let us know if not....
-
no problems so far this morning for me :chair:

There has for me, up to half an hour ago, just tried again and got on, so lets see
-
Still getting the cookie thing at 13:30
-
Would it help if we all gave platform being used?
Windows/Firefox problems this morning, but OK now
Problems on ipad/ios/safari more frequent
-
Just had them pop up now. And if it’s any use I’m using safari on iPad
-
Happens no matter what device or browser, google chrome, safari, edge…all the same
-
There used to be a forum app that people could use, instead of browser, is that still an available option? If so, what was it called?

Tapatalk? Something along those lines.
-
Getting beyond a joke.
-
There must be someone who can sort this. Who or where is that person.
-
Get it binned.

I am that person, for my sins.
After speaking to IONOS (our web host) every day last week we eventually found an erroneous CNAME entry in the DNS that was randomly causing the website to redirect to there default parking page, which should only show when a domain hasn't been correctly configured.
It should be fixed now, and I haven't personally seen the dreaded cookie message for the last couple of days now. Try clearing your browser cookies and cache for this website and see if that solves it. You can also check by loading the site in incognito mode in chrome.
We are looking into alternative web hosts but this forum is quite old software and relies on older server software that isn't supported by most other web hosts.
-
strange , I've had no issues all week .
-
Just had it again
-
I had a look on here earlier today and all was good but since the game started I have had to close the browser down five times and go back in due to the cookie bug come by back into the reckoning.
So frustrating.
-
Still having problems
-
Not had a problem at all today on either my iPad via safari and my android phone via chrome
-
And just like clockwork happens on both for about 5 minutes
-
Yep been bad on iPad for last hour.
-
Given the performances and score line today might be better telling them to not fix the issue for a week, save is all the bile

Thanks for your work BJW. I appreciate the limitations of what you're having to work with!
-
Many thanks for your efforts, BJW.
I tried disabling cookies a few days ago.... I bit the legs off some Gingerbread men our lass made, but the problem still occurred.
All seems good, now though, so the problem must have been summet else.
-
It's a relief to see this thread. This afternoon is the first time in a while that I've got on without the cookie pop up appearing. I use an android tablet, and had been worried there was something wrong with it
-
Looking good today, like I have said previously, if it’s a host issue you should be seeking compensation for the poor service, and what things have been put in place to ensure it doesn’t happen again?
-
I just had it pop up on this thread a few minutes ago. Read a few other threads and came back and come straight in no problem.
-
The green cookies sign has been appearing on and off all evening on mine.
-
do any of you see this screen below
if you click on imprint you will see this site at this moment in time is hosted by a company called ineos
as in Jim Ratcliffe -- Man united etc
------------------
Question Who hosts drfc-vsc.co.uk --- co-pilot says :
The domain drfc-vsc.co.uk does not currently appear to be hosted with an active website.
Instead, it is “parked” — meaning the domain name is registered, but no custom site is running on it.
When a domain is parked, the registrar (or a third-party service) shows placeholder pages, often with ads or “domain for sale” notices.
-
clicking on that second minute text privacy policy NOW takes you to ineos
and clicking on the other link takes you to sedoparking. com - where we earn the odd sheckel
i log into this site as a guest on my computer - i never log in on a phone
Hope this might help someone

i just discovered this (so let's blame Man U for all our problems)

Mine's OK this morning too.

(Laptop, Google Chrome)
-

-
Cookie Monster back for me this morning
I seem to be able to get on, read a few threads and maybe make a comment, then the cookie thing comes back.
-
Why don't they just f*ck the present host off, and get a new one that's fit for purpose?
-
Back again
-
And with me
-
Why don't they just f*ck the present host off, and get a new one that's fit for purpose?
Because, as always, life isn’t that simple.
BJW has already explained why.
-
The green cookie monster has returned
-

-
Had a break for a week and it seems to have been sorted
-
I had a whole clear day yesterday with the forum behaving normally until early evening then the cookie monster checked in and spoiled the night.
-
Has any one tried the dating site that gets advertised when the cookie monster appears ? If its any good I am tempted.
-
Cookie monster's back!
-
Couldn’t get on this morning
-
Seems back with a vengeance.
-
Same for me on iPad. Tried safari and opera browser with vpn but no joy for a bit.
-
Back again on my mobile typical just as we are all getting ready for the match
-
Same for me. Prevented from posting my all time favorite Rovers XI

Perhaps it's a smart Cookie monster and didn't like your selection?
-
Been free of the monster for two or three days now
-
I had it on my.phone during the match today. Samsung using Firefox.

-
I was plagued by it in the stadium today when trying to see what the team line up was going to be.
I tried three or four times before being able to get onto the site.
-
Just had the cookie monster again
-
Same here having to use a vpn
-
yep cookie monster rearing its ugly head again
-
It’s hit and miss for me too. It’s nearly as frustrating as watching the team lately! ;)
-
Clearly the provider doesn’t have the capability to properly test their “fixes”. I use at least 4 different search engines and have trouble periodically with all of them. To end up as I usually do in “sedoparking” suggests chaotic organisation and no separation of individual client data and therefore dubious security. Do they have an effective testing process because such a long term problem suggests it’s just “Trial and Error”?
If they have been involved in the long-awaited new App my expectations are very low.
-
Yes, I've just had a dozen or so bites from the cookie monster.
-
First comment from Grimsby is about the ridiculous third shirt/kit, not surprising!
-
I have had a fairly trouble free few days, but it did appear yesterday. Fortunately was able to log out and log back in OK, which wasn't possible at one time
-
Aaaaaaaand it’s back!! Spent this morning struggling again, getting the same message as before. On now so hopefully better now?!
-
I had it terrible this afternoon. I know nothing about IT, but it's pretty obvious to all and sundry that whoever hosts the site simply cannot eradicate the problem entirely.
On that basis it will still continue to keep coming back.
-
BUGGER.
It's back.

Yep, we're working on something that should eradicate the problem, the only issue is that it will take some time. Meanwhile we'll work with the existing host to see if they can sort this issue in the short term.

I'd say it's one for the kids isn't it
-
Just had the monster back again for half an hour
-
This pops up almost every time I try to log in.
-
No trouble for ages, just done it again!!
-
This pops up almost every time I try to log in.
Same here
-
It’s made an appearance again this morning
-
Ok this morning but it struck yesterday evening for me.
-
Yep, me too. Been good for quite a while but last night I had to pack in trying to get on here.
-
Me too, but got on quite quickly afterwards.
-
I had the green box briefly yesterday.
-
Lets just pay the ransom
-
Struggled this morning the cookie monster is as back
-
I had the cookie monster earlier too, getting sick of it now.
-
Me too
