Not a fan.
I get the vibe that he thinks hes better than he is, really needs to up his work rate which let's him down massively.
He was awful tonight, and really let his teammates down.
Poor attitude?
-
Shocking tonight I agree.
-
Plays the game in slow motion.
-
Awful, looked disinterested
-
Looked very lightweight tonight, more than usual.
-
Been very poor the last two games no doubt.
-
It looked like the occasion got to him tonight. He's definitely a confidence player.
-
If we want a youngster in there then use our own youth players, not good enough so far needs to step up or move back to Leeds
-
Worst performance by a sub since Red October.
-
I mean he’s a good footballer he just looked like he couldn’t be arsed.

Ocean gate or kursk more like
-
All 3 loanees tonight were dreadful! Ajayi - barely had a kick. Olusanya - is he really L1 standard? Looks like a non-league player. Crew - looks like he can't be bothered, does he think he's too good for us?
-

Players don’t go out there not to try. He’s just being played in the wrong areas in midfield. He needs the game undying of him and to play from a deeper position. He’s out of form as well.
-
One thing I hate to read more than anything on here is people saying players aren’t trying. It’s the worst thing you can say about a footballer IMO. Being miles off the pace looks like lack of effort.
-
Close is better imo.

He looks very lazy, and was miles off the effort he should have shown tonight
-
He looks, and has always looked like he has been coached to take his time to think and find the right pass/move. He isn’t lazy, he certainly doesn’t lack quality. He does need to learn in league 1 and obviously higher you get less time to make these calls, as the pace and athleticism of players is way higher.
He’s a young lad ( very young) he will make many more mistakes, but don’t pin the blame of a loss against 3rd in premier league on his short spell in the game. It wasn’t a great spell for him though agreed.
-
Thinks he's Berbatov in CM
-
Not sure what’s happening to my posts lately- I’m blaming the cookie bug for creating that illegible rubbish I have posted above, apologies
-
Crew, Olusanya, and Ajayi need to go back in January. They're not good enough.
Hanlan looked vastly improved. Whether he can score goals or not remains to be seen. Someone needs to.
-
He was exactly the same on Saturday. Lacked any energy and never made himself available to the defenders trying to play through.
He looked like he had something to prove last season and showed what he was about, but the games I’ve seen him in this season, he looks like he’s not that bothered to be back at Donny.
-
He’s been crap since he came back.
Send him back, he offers sweet FA
-
He's very young and still relatively inexperienced so I'd let Grant work his magic for a little longer before we judge, same with Ajayi. Olusanya, I can see potential but he doesn't look at natural goalscorer.

He’s regressed from last season, giving the ball away for the last goal was unforgivable, it should have gone into the box
-
He just needs a run of games and let him build up some confidence and get fully match sharp mentally. He started slow last time and was taken out the team. Us fans may not think it's that big of a jump from L2 to L1 but I'd wager the players will notice a huge difference playing even mid table L1 teams compared to L2. Give him time and I'm sure he will come good, Grant knows this league as good as any manager out there and wouldn't of brought him in if he didn't think he could be of use.
-
He had a dip in form last season after a Wales camp.
-
It must take it out of him having to raise his game back to Rovers' standards :boxing:
-
For me Charlie is out of form but he is too good not to come back. I am obviously missing something because I think Olusanya is improving with every appearance.
-
This forum often defies belief!
A few weeks ago everyone was going on like we’d signed Messi, now after a couple of bad games he’s useless.
People need to get a grip and not get so up and down, all players go through periods of poor form, I think when we signed him last year he struggled for a couple of months before being class.
Absolute nonsense spoken on here sometimes
-
Watched him closely, his first touch when he can on was poor and he lost possession, i watched his next four involvements and he either lost possession or failed to find a man with his pass.
What made it worse on the night was that we'd picked up considerably in the second half and we were looking to kick on when he arrived with others, it killed our momentum stone dead and we finished the match totally toothless with the horror show of that last engagement which led to their third goal.
Not sure what's wrong with him or if he thinks he should be somewhere further op the pecking order in the league but this display and attitude is something we don't need.
Hopefully GM can work on him and get a tune soon or i can see another being shipped out at xmas.

I agree with nearly all of the comments on here.
We have seen enough of him to know he’s very talented and potentially will get to a high level in the game.
At the end of last season he showed this, he was excellent, however since he came back he’s been like a different player, he’s been slow on the ball and generally poor, displaying some of the attitudes mentioned.
I hope this is just a blip and the guys sort him out, but at present for me Ben close is the better option and should be starting games.
-
His on-field body language is at the other end of the scale to that of our previous Donny / Leeds young pretender ;Ian Snodin !
-
Ben Close and Robbie Gotts are both ahead of Charlie for that 3rd midfield spot IMO.
-
Let’s be right picking a match day squad should be based on merit. He and Ajay shouldn’t be near it. If they were young players from our academy they’d certainly not be given so many chances
-
I get the impression that McCann was torn between giving fringe players a game and trying to win it. When it comes to this sort of match at a top PL stadium, it would have been better to field his best 11 because instead of being completely outclassed like several of those he chose to play were, the first team players, closer to the opposition in ability, would have benefited more. In Crew's case he wasted the opportunity and failed to do his best for the team. There comes a time when a bad attitude demands sanctions! If we are paying a loan fee its time to send him back.
-
Ajayi gets 10 minutes a week. Hardly a chance to do anything. If we're talking about poor performance v minutes played Molyneux is that man.
Gibson and Middleton for me today v Luton

May be his blip is due to the fact we are now playing a higher level of opposition, he will take time to adjust whereas older hands have already made the step up.
