Loan to Scunthorpe confirmed
Best for all concerned!
-
He should get games there he’s not getting anything here.
-
Hope he gets lots of game time. Probably a level beneath him but he hasn’t played regularly for at least two seasons so he should benefit from that if nothing else.
-
National League and the tiers beneath it operate a different transfer system I think, hence the loan now. A L2 club couldn't take him until January.
-
He's on the bench for Scunny tonight at York.
-
I'm actually going to Scunthorpe v Carlisle after Burton so will be interesting to see how he gets on if played.
-
Former Rovers players Andrew Boyce and Alfie Beestin starting for Scunthorpe. Very strong bench for York City including Dan Batty, Joe Grey and Josh Stones. Must have some serious cash at that level.
-
Good luck Zain.
Will be an unbelievable player at that level if he gets some momentum going.
-
Just been subbed on
-
That's a great signing for Scunny, good luck Zain. Hopefully will get a good run of games.
-
Eastleigh loan seemed to do Close the world of good so hopefully the same for ZW
-
3-1 Scunny, great result for them!
Good to see three Doncaster lads playing and Zain coming on and getting some football!
-
How did Zain do anyone know?
-
Has Grant fallen out with him? Seems he’s on the discarded list here but no one put in an offer during the transfer window?
-
People said this when Close was loaned out last season but it appears to have had the desired effect now.
-
Starting tonight against Carlisle. 17:30 kick off
-
I went tonight, he wasn't brilliant but tidy on the ball and did some of the dirty stuff well enough.
Keeping in mind he's barely played for ages, I think he'll do alright and hopefully be better for it.
-
I watched it on the box, thought Zain did well, when Carlisle weren't making it too scruffy, Alfie was decent too.
Apart from the set pieces in the first half, I thought Scunny were the better team, you certainly couldn't tell which side was down to ten men for over an hour, they were unlucky.
-
I said in the car going home Scunny didn't play like they were a man light. Good advert for non-league football.
Felt a bit surreal being in the away end there not watching Rovers though.
