How is it silly - stranger appointments have been made and he has experience at Championship level. He was also on the shortlist for Motherwell a couple of years back...

Gerrard and Rohl, both out of work have walked away after discussions. Must be a right basket case behind the scenes as you would think after Wednesday , Rohl could put up with a lot.

Gerrard is settled in Bahrain and Rohl apparently knew he wasn't first choice and withdrew. They've not long been taken over by the people that own Leeds so a decent project for someone.

Every job has an end . McCann has ambitions I doubt he’s given this one any thought , but I’m sure if Rangers knocked he’d answer and we’d be £500k better off . There are many managers who could do what McCann has done at Donny and those players aren’t loyal to him any more than he’s is to them . Billy Sharp
Would step up but according to the papers the players aren’t taking any notice of him right now .( Doncaster Rovers players 'don’t seem to want to learn' from Billy Sharp, says Grant McCann after 4-0 loss) but I wouldn’t be crying if he left . Maybe the new guy could find us a striker worthy of the tag !!!

Everything is possible. However some are more likely to happen than others.

McCann not even on the bookie’s lists. It’s a big job that needs more rep than he has.
If he has a good couple of seasons with us I think he’d leave for the Northern Ireland job when that comes up. O’Neill has a contract until Euro 2028.

I know Muscat (as a manager) pretty well from working on the Aussie stuff years ago. Couldn’t go from one extreme to another more than going from Russell Martin to him.
