Out to Solihull on loan.
No great surprise!

Only until January, which seem odd unless they are going to sign him then.

I didn’t particularly think he was top end L2 quality so it was never going to work out this season.

Surprised we weren’t more ruthless in the summer.

Great lad though, good luck to him.

No great surprise!

Obviously a "Periodic Loan" my nickname for him has always been "Antimony" should be in his element   as they rise the Table

Thank god. Rotten signing. The passenger in nearly every game he played. Can’t believe Billy was denied the number 10 shirt as it was promised to him.

Incredible how many appearances he's been given for us already this season. Unbelievable he started at Huddersfield.

Maybe freeing up funds for a striker in January eh ?

Genuine question can we give Billy No 10 shirt for the rest of the season ?

Good luck to the lad. It was a low risk gamble and he gave his all each time he played but just couldn't quite influence games enough to compete with others for that creative spot in the middle of the park.

I would guess it's a loan with a view to a permanent exit.

Agree with that DBR, nobody could criticize his commitment and work rate, it was more our actual tactical make up of the team he struggled with than lack of individual ability IMHO.

Different story if he scores that 1 on 1 though…

I didn’t mind him, but he’s far from a league 1 player.

Your last part of your comment ... " but he’s far from a league 1 player."

Sadly just like a few other recent signings on Doncasters' Books  one could also say?

Correct, but Sbarra was bought in league 2 for league 2 and did alright, the newest signings were bought for league 1 and most would struggle in league 2.

He didn't seem to quite make the step up from non-league as hoped. He barely made an impact here, even in League 2.

The only surprise with this is that he didn't go out in the summer.

Good luck to him back at Solihull.

Not short of ability but he simply lacks the physicality for modern professional football.

He can run & harry, he’ll be playing at his ‘natural level’ with Solihull.

I didn’t see any evidence of above average technical ability from him during his time here.

I think the preconceived idea that he did have was based on his appearance and position perhaps.

Seemed a good lad and worked hard, so good luck to him. If he does well there we can look to offload him for a small fee to free up a space for some L1 quality in January.

Well,  plenty on here wrote off Broadbent and gave Clifton pelters.
So I’m not writing him off just yet.

He seems a great guy and I wish him well.

But he was never up to the standard we required and to be brutally honest I’m amazed he got any game time this season.

Good luck to him at Solihull.

Bizarre he didn’t get a loan in the summer. Doesn’t really seem like a McCann player either. Maybe they tried to move him on but he wanted another shot at getting a place
