John McGrath never played in the third tier.

He did have three Premier League appearances (presumably late subs) as a young lad at Aston Villa though.

Really good shout this Nudger.

Erling springs to mind and Maldini.

Ofcourse Harvey is yet to experience playing for Donny so in my book Paul had the better career....slight bias

Forgot about those two. And to he honest i could be wrong.

I was originally thinking of Dalglish, Cruyff, Kluivert, Schmeichel (although this is close), Weah

Going to be one a debate to keep an eye on over time now there are a few players coming through as second generation pros.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain maybe shades his Dad Mark.

Both the Bellinghams are better than their dad albeit he was semi-pro so not sure if that counts due to the disparity.

Ricky better than Liam.

Did Hagi have a son who briefly starred for Rangers?

Chris Brown and Gavin Peacock.

Alan Brown was a very good player, but injuries totally did for him
