It is almost an entire year (10 December 2024 v Port Vale) since we last drew a blank at home in the league. At present we are the only club in the 92 to have scored in every home league game in 2025.

That is a great stat.
Thanks for informing.

That is indeed a brilliant stat CBCB.
I had noticed that this season so far we have scored the opening goal in all of our home matches, but despite that we have not won in the last five. BTW that first goal stat can be extended to the last 11 home games including the last three home games of last season.
Edit: Scratch that  - BGA below has reminded me that Barnsley scored first last home match - surely their goals shouldn't count

Barnsley scored first the other week

Whoops, scratch that, many thanks BGA
Just had my bi-annual eye-test - unsurprisingly they have deteriorated significantly - clearly took my eye of the ball.

Wasn't that an EFL Trophy game? I'm sure we lost 2-1 to Vale in the league or maybe I'm misremembering.

My mistake, you are absolutely right! Last home league game we failed to score was even further back - Tuesday 22 October against Bromley. Well over a year!

A wonderful stat, CBCB, but if we fail to score on Saturday, I'm blaming you for jinxing it.

Having embarrassed myself I am trying to salvage things. So I have checked to see if the current run is a club record. It is not but the record was set nearly 100 years ago when home teams were far more successful against away teams than in current time.
Longest Run of scoring in Home League matches
1: 34 matches: Last 12 Home games of 1931-32, all 21 Home games of 1932-33, first Home game of 1933-34. Note the first of those 34 matches was a home defeat; the following 33 Homes matches comprise Rovers’ longest ever unbeaten Home sequence
2: 24 Matches: Last 19 Home matches of 1933-34 and first 5 Home matches of 1934-35. Note the match that ended the longest run above was immediately followed by the 24 matches above, meaning we scored in 58 out of 59 consecutive Home matches.
3: Current run: last 16 Home matches of 2024-25 followed by the opening 8 Home matches this season.
4: 21 Matches: Last Home match of 1954-55 followed by first 20 Home matches of 1955-56.
5=: 19 Matches: Last 16 Home matches of 1957-58 followed by first 3 Home matches of 1958-59. Remarkable in that both seasons were relegation seasons
5=: 19 Home Matches in season 1962-63
5=: 19 Home matches in 2016-17 (when we came 3rd in a 2 horse race under Ferguson)
