Olowu lucky not too be off there... wasn't in control of that challenge..

Olowu should have gone for that. Awful challenge.

Should have been red for Oluwu there. Horrible challenge.

JO booked, looked like it might have been a red. Dirty challenge on Bailey

I just came on here to say exactly this, it's all I can hear.

And also yes, that's a definite red for Olowu. Ref bottled it.

Theres a red card in this

Billy’s more interested in a scrap than the ball. Making me nervous.
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport
Post by: les@donr on December 09, 2025, 08:24:54 pm
Maybe Stockport are intentionally roughing up our lads, and being allowed to get away with it by a weak ref.

Title: Re: Donny v Stockport
Post by: Metalmicky on December 09, 2025, 08:45:33 pm
Billy needs to control himself.... he has got previous and refs remember.  It wasn't as shocking as some have said, but conditions aren't great....
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport

To not use the very strong wind and shoot non sight has been poor in opinion.
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport
Post by: monkeytennis on December 09, 2025, 08:46:03 pm
That wasn’t even a foul by Broadbent let alone a yellow. This ref is awful. They are being allowed to chop us down without consequence at the same time. Just inept honestly.

Play wise we seem slow and slack without the pace and intent they are showing. We need to wake up and take more risks I think as that’s when we’ve had our chances.
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport
Post by: Usher wide. on December 09, 2025, 08:46:28 pm
Did anyone spot the tear in Bailey’s sock above his right ankle as he hobbled off?

Olowu a very lucky sod to be still on the pitch.

Another weak referee.

Gibson needs to calm himself more when given the chance to hit the target. Not sure what he was doing when the ball broke to him with just Olowu (dirty sod) in front of him & he floats a nothing ball over the bar.

One goal will win this.
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport
Post by: les@donr on December 09, 2025, 08:47:14 pm
Grant has to talk some sense into our lads, we need to keep eleven players on the pitch, getting involved in scraps never ends well. We have to do our talking through our football. Let Stockport commit the fouls, the ref is going to lose his patience and start sending players off, let it be theirs not ours.

Broadbent suspended for Sat with that yellow card.

I think that might mean he has a 'free yellow' in the second half, especially if very late in the game - suspension one match either way

No sky+ for last 10 minutes of the first half.
But can now watch that periodd at half time on rewind.

These matches are streamed via the net so could be your own internet setup.

Unfortunately I can’t see how we stay up currently. Far too weak and easy to score against, whilst not looking very threatening at the other end. I think it’s going to take a very effective transfer window to sort this out. Results tonight haven’t helped either. We are in big trouble.
Title: Re: Donny v Stockport

Well that was really disappointing tonight, back to where we were 3 or 4 weeks ago. Didn’t look like scoring tonight we could play another 90 mins and still not score. Got to say that we, Rovers, have been accused of the dark arts of football, well we go a lesson in it tonight.

Onwards and upwards
