Title: TLTs body language after the game..
Post by: adamtherover on December 14, 2025, 10:21:09 am
Is shocking, he's practically hiding at the back of the group of players with an awkward half hearted clap. Weve all just dedicated 9 hours on the road to cheer on the boys, and for me, his actions after the whistle were just as unforgiving as the previous 90 mins. If i never see him again it will be too soon.
Grant is now being stubborn, refusing to accept hes made a mistake with tlt, rather than sack him off for the good of the team.

He was being given sh** by  a minority of our fans at Lincoln. He knows he's messed up, and we've just lost in the 99th minute. Can't blame him for not wanting to come forward

How did rest of squad and GM look and react? Not seen it yet

He was awful and he knows it. What do you want him to do? Hes hardly going to be at the front kissing the badge is he?

Do you wonder why he is like that with the amount of abuse he gets from some idiots in our fanbase?

Gets abused from his own fans, fans then surprised when he's not first in line wanting to clap fans who blame him for the defeat.

What exactly does it look like to “own” things if it’s not standing quietly at the back looking disconsolate and remorseful? Should he take the shirt off, grab the corner flag and start mercilessly flogging himself with it while weeping and wailing his forgiveness? Would that be enough for you??

What happened at the end with McGrath

What happened at the end with McGrath

Not sure if it was same incident but their number 12 was goading us at the final whistle then both sets of players got involved, pretty sure Bails was one of the first. Hopefully we can return the favour at ours.

I can’t believe your comments, and what you would expect him to do?
He will know that his errors cost us 1 or 3 points, and think that his actions will clearly indicate to all of you making that made such a long journey, that he accepts responsibility.

I wouldn't have liked to be in the trenches next to you, if you think thats owning his mistakes

I agree, mate, it was awful, but how often does he do that?

TLT's been doing it most of the season. We need better.

You can add this lot to your list Middleton, Gotts, Ajayi, Crew, Olusanya as poor choices for L1 and some on contracts will be a bigger concern if it ties McCanns hands to make new signings ..

Only reason we would be rubbish in that situation is shrinking violets like you and others on here  surrendering at the first opportunity .

Or maybe just maybe i don't take football as seriously as you do. I used to be angry like you at results and player mistakes, but then i realised its just a game of football and not the be all and end all in life.

Is it frustrating and annoying in that moment...sure...then life moves on.

Exactly. We love DRFC but there is more to life than football. I can certainly say that

Just goes to show it happens in all leagues, TLT would’ve been crucified for that!
