All 3 cntre halves we have remaining made horrendous errors. Tactically inept again, no Plan B and yet to see a substitution have any positive effect on the game.
Of the Summer loanees, zero were in the team today, get whoever is in charge of recruitment gone. Massive ballooned sqaud with so many total irrelavancies its unreal

Someone tell me our game plan today. Far as I could say it was give it McGrath and let him boot a diagonal to Molls. Which failed 90% of time. That was it. And Gibson simply cannot control a footyball he may as well not be on the pitch

This result may just what the board needed to see about why McCann is bullshitter and how you can’t just talk your ways up the League .. we need a motivator who can build and build confidence and not just talk about it !!

Apart from Man Utd our fickle supporters have sung his praises without as much as a stutter , but McCann has to see that talk isn’t what wins game ..

Molyneux was easily our best player today. Actually quite a good performance amidst a sea of 3/10s.

We started off ok but after that stupid pass to a player swarmed on (which we kept doing, surely you learn after one) we looked like a relegation team.
We give goals away, are wide open, a hot knife through butter. Probably plenty more phrases to say how easy opponents are finding space and creating gilt edge chances.
Pitiful.

Why does the whole team capitulate when a single mistake gets punished . We played well for 5mins and they score but we forgot Plymouth needed to win also and got caught navel gazing .. McCann can’t justify this performance as it amongst too many at home . Taxi time ?

Players not playing for the manager?
Manager not being able to effect any meaningful change in the game?
Chairman now in a predicament, does he free up cash in Jan or allow the team to fail and save the cash for a new manager in league 2 next season?
Or does he hope GM walks so can can try to save ourselves for the rest of the season with some new blood?
Our strategy of allowing GM full control has not worked again in the early part of a season, do we think he can pull off another Jan revival, third time of asking?

To be fair, the mistake for the first goal is lack of control from Broadbent.
Whether we should be playing into that space is a different question.
I assume GM has asked the players to use that option, so really he has to take responsibility.

I think they'd be the only 2 for me that would be guaranteed as well. You could possibly make an argument for a very select few others

Then we panicked and gave goals away
We played against a team who came from the Championship and we came up from league two.
But the centre halves we had today were not as good as Anderson and Olowu. Our strike force although worked hard is not same as Rob Street. So the side today would not have won the Championship in league 2 last year.
Talk about the Chairman giving Grant money but it was not enough to get league 1 quality players. The players we brought in whether permanent or loan have not been the quality to improve the side. Today's result is poor but it's been coming after the flourish at start of the season. We do not have and Grant has to accept enough league 1 standard players.
We won't get another point until if we can get better players. Is enough funds available for wages and even transfer fees.
It also doesn't help that the south stand rip into are own players even before the game started with the GK.

Totally agree. But who would want to move here in Jan? Last season it would have been come here and have a chance at being in a league winning side. This time around it’s come here and try and stay up.

What I cannot accept is the entire structure of the side simply falling apart after that. After that goal, we barely won a challenge in the rest of the first half. After we scored, we didn't have another shot on target until the 84th minute.

I’m a Rovers fan, but I don’t see that as analogous to blind faith in every manager and every team the club fields. A fan wants the best for his club, a long-term commitment, and change is part of evolution. We’ve been here before and sadly our ups have included a seemingly bigger dose of downs than most clubs have had to endure. We must have the record for finishing champions of the bottom league and then coming down again embarrassingly soon.

I did call game over at 26 minutes in, there is no way Rovers are going to score three goals without conceding, we had no chance of winning.

I sit very close to the dugout and every match is very much the same with McCann on the touchline . He stands up and turns to his staff to complain about things , his body language is radiated on to the pitch . He inspires little or no confidence or encouragement to the players from the sidelines . He is without doubt dull and uninspiring. It’s all about instructions with him not enthusiasm to elevate by body language. The players are clearly needing something other than just tactical talk . I doubt his instructions lasts long in the minds of the players as the massage clearly is not changing from one match to the next . I just wish he’d laugh more , shout more and applaud more .. it’s called encouragement!!!

If the massage is not working, maybe it needs someone like Cameron Diaz to do it. It might f*cking buck them up a bit.

We have let 9 goals in in two games many of them would have been easily dealt with with good central defenders who have been involved in quite a few of those 9 goals against.

It is clearly far from good but we haven't even got to the half way mark in the league season yet. While it is true we are getting worse rather than better, there is a long way to go and there is still the January window to readjust the squad.
One point worth highlighting is our high rate of conceding. In 21 league games so far this season, we have managed only 4 clean sheets. Interestingly that is almost exactly same as last season at this point, which was 5 clean sheets. Difference is that by this time last season we had scored 31 league goals and this season only 21 league goals. Basically last season we could outrun our defensive weakness, while this season we cannot. A terrible defence can be masked by goals but we simply don't threaten enough or create enough this season.

I agree with this completely. Being a supporter of the club is about being able to critique what’s happening in the context of what’s best for the club. Sheff Wed fan weren’t bad fans for wanting Chansiri gone, and fans are right to ask questions and challenge when things aren’t right (in an appropriate way), and things certainly aren’t right at our club at the moment.
I’m not sure why McCann deserves anyone’s blind faith, he took the money and ran once leaving us in a mess, and won the league last season with us. We should be able to take a balanced view of where we are with him.
In my opinion, performances aren’t good enough - even last season for the most part was pretty turgid, but this year with the odd bright spot aside we’ve been pretty dire. Recruitment is poor, I can’t think of a single player Grant has bought that is decent league 1 level, loan signings seem a random lottery. Organisation seem poor - I’m not clear on our plan, I don’t know what we’re trying to do from corners, throw ins, or open play. Game management seems poor, starting line ups are often baffling, in game changes ineffective. I don’t think there’s a decent plan B or any flexibility in how we play, when teams have figured out our soft middle in our 4-3-3.
He might roll the dice in January and it might be enough to keep us up, but for me I’d like us to be thinking about is this the right person for our club long term.

Seen my share of highs and lows over the last 60 years but the latest drop off in form is frightening. Just like the current England cricket team we just seem ill prepared and way off the mark. We are not "Just one good performance away from turning it round". We are nowhere near where we should be. Depressing to think that after last year's title success we could be heading back to Harrogate and Accrington again. Chin up. Here's hoping for a second half season revival.
