I am afraid this misses out Chris Swailes I think.
It misses him out because the only Premier League goal he scored was an own goal.
Also a close contender, but not included is Mike Williamson who scored in the Premier League for Newcastle, but never actually played for Rovers during his loan spell with us in 2004.

That’s correct, and what a stunner it was. The question though was goal rather than for which side, but that’s a level of pedantry not needed for the this time of year.
