The Vertu Trophy Quarter-Final Draw will take place live on Sky Sports News, on Saturday 17 January at 11.20am.
Sky Sports’ David Prutton will host the draw alongside former Reading captain and Leyton Orient player Jobi McAnuff, and former Leicester City and Aston Villa player Marc Albrighton.
1 Doncaster Rovers
2 Huddersfield Town
3 Port Vale
4 Stockport County
-
Port Vale at home please
-
That's a great call Fal
the southern section is weak
Southern Section
AFC Wimbledon
Northampton Town
Plymouth Argyle
Luton Town or Swindon Town - will Swindon get thrown out ?
-
Stockport at home, Rovers will turn them over with the new recruits.
-
Just a home game please!! Don’t care who it is as long as it’s at home. :clapping:
-
Huddersfield away
-
Interesting, not an impossible task, but a challenging one.
-
May I say worst possible
-
According to David Prutton on sky Huddersfield have more shots than anyone else in the competition by a long way, however we are the highest scorers so far.
-
Think we have to play strongest side from the off. We owe them. We should have been out of sight after the first half at their place this this season.
-
I think we have the worst scenario, away at Huddersfield, but if we can win that I think the trophy could be ours.
Here's hoping anyway.
-
Be w/c 9th Feb. The following Saturday no game as port vale still in fa cup, then following Tuesday 17th Feb home to Huddersfield in league.
-
We scream for a home game but don’t attend !
-
I’ve missed one game in all comps this season… Huddersfield away! I’ll be there.

Well done you!
So pleased you’ll be able to ‘tick this one off’.

Arguably, the best we’ve played this season and we lost! Played them off the park and didn’t take our chances (not like us, is it).

We still want us to win and a home game would probably have given us the best chance of doing so.
-

Its the correct date just not the time, it'll be 1900 like the rest

I would double check nearer to the game. The other year I rolled up at Valley Parade after all games had been a 7pm kick off to not be let in until 7.30ish for a 7.45 kick off. The worst thing is I had rolled up about 6.15 to park on Midland Road. It was freezing cold as well.

when you go away to Middlesbrough and win 4-0 hopefully this maybe more about Huddersfield under estimating Rovers and taking the pressure of us .. very winnable!!

I was speaking to a Huddersfield fan today and he says generally their fanbase isn’t happy with the new manager appointment.
However, how often do we see the new manager bounce?
-
Confirmed Feb 10th 7pm kick off

Dean Saunders was on Under the cosh podcast recently talking about the JPT.
Entertaining listen.

Seen some of the clips from that podcast. He just makes stuff up doesn’t he?
-
He certainly got his timelines wrong with some of his Rovers stories.
-
I think he gets lots mixed up but all good fun.

He’s a good story teller. Like you say, if you treat it all as a work of fiction it’s entertaining.
