Is this still a thing? I am taking my 7 yr old son to the match tomorrow who has Autism and he struggles with loud noises and sensory overload, i tried him last season for the opening match against Accrington and he cried and wanted to leave after 15 mins.
I am trying to minimise the impact this time around, i have ear defenders from my work and i've also got him a bluetooth headset that he can connect to his phone to play Roblox or whatever he wants to distract him to try and drone out the noise, we will be in the west stand.
Are there any other options or tips from anyone in a similar situation? He is keen to come and has really started to get into football but i just want it to be an enjoyable experience.

Give the club a ring tomorrow and I’m sure that they will b able to advise you on what is available.

I think the drfc supporters liason offer sensory packs.
What about trying the family stand?
Though i would be careful about taking him into the donny dog kennel, alot of kids left to run amok in there, can get noisy.
Would he be into meeting donny dog? Something like thst may intrest him

The quiet room IS available

Is it only in the family stand? Mine and his STs are in the west stand unfortunately.

Perhaps you could sit in the West Stand but as close to the away fans as possible, I can’t imagine Leyton Orient bringing more than 200 and they will be a distance away, or maybe as someone else suggested the club might let you change seats for a one off if you explain to them.

Where abouts in the west stand are your seats Fal?

Fal, if your little lad was who I think he was then he looked like he was enjoying himself.
We sit just above the tunnel to the concourse in the south end of the west stand.

Yes mate, that was my son. He was loving it, I was so proud of him!

And so you should be :scarf:
