Title: Owen Bailey

Turn the phones off, no way a Championship club aren’t coming in for him before the window shuts.

Can't remember a higher scoring centre mid in my lifetime watching Donny. 13 in Jan is insane.

A lot of those mentioned took free kicks, or even penalties. Bailey doesn’t even do that

He's great.

I doubt we'll be able to hold on to him in the summer.

You never know, he might want to stay, offers or not.

Strikingly likeness to Sir Bobby in his interviews. Wouldn't surprise me to see him as a manager sometime in the far future.

Of course the midfielder who scored the most goals for us did take nearly 700 games to do it  :scarf:

Wonder where he would be now if he hadn't the injury set back

I wouldn't blame Bailey for leaving if given the opportunity, but I would be fuming if the club let him go for peanuts like they did whiteman

If there's a clause in his contract there wouldn't be anything the club could do about it.

Obviously thats true, but let's hope its a big clause and the club accept nothing less

Once again, you're spouting drivel, even after having Whitemans and even Marquis transfers explained previously when you made the same wild claims, inc release clauses, where the club rebuffed interest prior to accepting bids.

Obviously Bailey a victim of our shocking recruitment strategy overseen by an owner who won't put his hand in his pocket?

Remember, a player or their agent are not going to sign a contract that has a release clause amount that is prohibitive to them moving to a team higher up in the food chain.  Particularly those who have the ability to move up.

I've said before that if he is well advised he will wait until the season ends before planning his future. The market is more settled then and there will be a range of options including staying with Rovers perhaps if the rest of the season goes really well. At the moment the clubs looking for additions are most likely to be those whose season is not going as well as they hoped, so choices will be restricted. For example there will be Championship clubs in fear of relegation who might find themselves in League 1 next season which is not where he would want to be if he wants to play at a higher level. Surely too, with only 2 or 3 days left, it's unlikely that he'll depart now. The same will apply to Molyneux.

I'd think the vast majority of Championship squads would benefit from. Owen Bailey in their teams/squads. A tough and robust reliable leader that plays in a number of positions and also scores goals. All the while leading and somehow being a true team member.

Owen Bailey is performing well because Grant has nurtured his talent and is getting the best out of him, this would not necesarily be the case if he moved on.

GMs just said it's too late now for the club to consider selling anyone if offers were to be received.

Rest easy everyone.

I'd like to think that Owen has enough about him to take whatever's been unlocked by GM with him when and wherever he goes.

Well he said it would be very difficult to replace a couple, however at the end of the day if bids come him, it won’t be his decision if to accept or decline any such bids!
