Annual club Doncaster foundation shirt, always a bit retro looking and I like it.
Gutted I didn't get the one from last season so will be getting this one.
-
Very smart. Just ordered one
-
It's very 90's goalkeeper, which is a good thing! Like the retro look, and few more quid in the pot for the club, and a few less quid for me when the kids ask for it!
-
I had a shirt like that either late 70s or early 80s before we had sponsors on the shirt.
-
I am not keen. What do the four stars represent?

I'm sure its 4 championships in the bottom division.

It’s the Tripadvisor rating of the catering facilities.

Missed a trick not getting LT to launch it
-
He seems to have done an album signing at the stadium today, and it looks like we flogged a tonne of them to the girls with TOMLINSON 28 on the back.

[/quoteLook at the queue to get into the club shop for the shirts it was massive ,some girls travelled from France to meet him and get a shirt they have made a ton of money from this, But we're was this advertised and did any rovers fans know it was going on .

Fair play I think it’s good that the club have capitalised on this and spotted the opportunity and fair play to Louis for promoting the club in this way. £5 from each shirt straight to Club Doncaster as well.
-
Think we should use him more great ambassador to get the club out there in the media
-
Agree with you there dude! A great ambassador for the club who could get us more coverage.
-
The reality is this kit isn't really aimed at us.. Louis is putting out a new album, promoting it and working with us to cash in on it. The video of the club shop during the launch showed loads of girls flicking through the racks of shirts like a closing down sale at TK Maxx.
So fair play to all onboard, money for the club, our badge been paraded around as a fashion statement and we will probably do the same amount of shirts as the first team..lol

Don’t know if it’s the shade of green or the amount but it looks ugly imo. Like Wing Commander said though, it isn’t aimed at us. What sort of amount could the club make off this, what’s realistic do we think?
I think we’re at a point now where getting Louis Tomlinson back on board in a more professional manner than how it was done before would be a good idea.
He’s big on wanting to bring through artists and having a huge record label so how about an official link (gifted some shares?) where his contribution is taking on the music festival and making it much, much bigger? He will drag even better artists in i’m sure (and bigger sponsorships) and can get us some upcoming artists. We’ve had some quality non-football events recently but not enough of them imo and he could take it to the next level.
He’d definitely add value to the club now I think. Hopefully makes us more attractive to owners other than shit American ‘investors’.

St. Etienne 70’s vibe.

Depends on the contract with the shirt manufacturer. A lot of clubs get a one off payment from the manufacturer, so the vast majority of any future sales revenue then goes to the supplier. When you hear reports that a boost in shirt sales has already paid for a huge signing this is usually nonsense i.e. Beckham to Real Madrid - Adidas would have seen most of that money
