Atm, I'm going through some music I haven't had a chance to listen to for a while.
An oldie but goody is an album by Mountian Man titled Made the Harbor, released in 2010.
(not for head bangers)

A bit of contemporary folk in Faeland and Magpie Arc

Listening to my wife telling me she shouldn’t be the one who has to pick my socks up from the bedroom floor.
There will no doubt be a ‘B side’.
-
Can’t quite get my head round a record out in 2010 being called an “oldie”.!!

Exactly. Now BB's George Formby album, and Wolfie's Gracie Fields' album are a different kettle of fish altogether.

Ive been going through a few Suede albums this week, mainly because Im going to see them tonight in Edinburgh.
-
I'm working out to Limp Bizkit and System of a Down in my garage.
Seeing Limp Bizkit at Download in June then seeing System of a Down in Poland in July.

I’m stuck on 80’s rock although going to away games I’m getting turned on to some newer rock that my lad plays in the car. Loving the last Linkin Park album and Bad Omens

Have played a couple of golden oldies off some of those black plastic 'wheels' this week. Having never gotten around to getting rid of my vinyl, I resurrected an old deck that hasn't been used for quite some time and gave it an overhaul and a whirl.

I saw a band called Music City tonight in Sheffield.
They’re getting some play on 6 music and should make it big ish if they’re lucky.
Check them out, debut album came out today.

I've been listening to some old skool electro vibes, I didn't realise the bloke who basically invented hip hop, Man Parrish, is a gay white man. There are lots of interesting YouTube videos about what equipment he used and how the record label ripped him off. He was basically producing these hit records and had so little money he had to move back in with his dad.

Sounds like a background similar to Joe Meek all those years ago.

I gave these a listen and was impressed enough to download the album. Very much a 70's sound in places!
Excellent stuff!
Thanks for the heads up, enjoy discovering new music.

I saw Split Enz live twice in Donny in the early 1980s, Tommy, most of whom formed Crowded House in 1985.
Brilliant.

So did I SS. (Saw em once) Split enz were really good.
-
Me too, I still have one of their albums.
'Thick as a Brick' popped up on my random selection of music files and reading about it I had no idea Anderson was taking the michael when he wrote it.
Also listening to Warm Leatherette, Grace Jones is up near the top for me.

An Irish band called The Labourers. Absolutely superb. Going to go far I think.

I did, I had been listening to them for the last few months but they surpassed my expectations live.
Yeah I was there on the Saturday too with my little boy, who managed his first full gig.

Well done the little one.
We’ll have to catch a beer at Eyup if your going
