Lee Turnbull not on Radio Sheffield - thank goodness!

We're actually getting a commentary rather than continuous inane chatter.

Midfield looking to be a huge issue. No control of the game whatsoever and not creating anything through midfield when we do have it

We just need to stay in the game while WW are on top.
We sound to be decent with the ball so nothing to worry about at present.

Nothing to be too concerned about just now.

Just that we're solidly second best, not offered much. Their finishing could have been better.

Maybe just losing on tactics?

Lee is wasted as a no9.

Naturally he is wanting to drop deep to find the ball.

We are still in this and think we will find it bettwr in the 2nd half.

Though i always hate playing wycombe

that is correct it’s where he became active this is now the case pherhaps fans should know the correct laws more before slagging refs off
Title: Re: Wycombe V TLOD
Post by: jmt23 on February 07, 2026, 03:59:00 pm
Wycombe are a strong well drilled side with good players all over the pitch. They look assured whilst we look rushed.

We’re not out of it in any way, but we will have to improve significantly to get a draw never mind the win.

Mickey walker comes out with total rubbish. Adaliken not in the game. Need some changes at half time.  More accuracy in our passing needed.we def not out of this.
Title: Re: Wycombe V TLOD
Post by: DonnyBazR0ver on February 07, 2026, 04:02:15 pm
Sounds like they're a well drilled team but we haven't strung much together and keep giving the ball away.

From what RS are saying, sounds like our full backs are not getting forward so link up play is more difficult.

Just need to up the tempo and keep going!!!

It looks like the little bubble of recovery has been popped. If it's as bad as some are making out, then it's going to be a daunting task to avoid relegation, with the games that're coming up.

It isnt a free kick from where the ball is played from and a player cn't be offside in his own half.

Very worrying performance this, we look like a side thrown together for the first time, can't string 2 passes together, second to everything, weak in the challenge, midfield nowhere to be seen, giving the ball away regularly. What are we doing in training.

Plymouth h
Wigan a
Orient a
Northampton h
Wimbledon h

All up there with today’s performance,
Not even going into all the bad performances in 2024 and 2025

I did! Otherwise I wouldn’t be commenting on it.

Did you?

Very worrying performance this, we look like a side thrown together for the first time, can't string 2 passes together, second to everything, weak in the challenge, midfield nowhere to be seen, giving the ball away regularly. What are we doing in training.

Were u asking what we’ve been doing in training after the good performances we’ve had over the last 6/7 weeks ?

I'm commenting on today's performance, if that's OK with you of course.

Not a chance Dickos1 !

That Wigan game we had and created enough chances to win. In all the other games we created and we in the game, maybe barring the Orient game.

I stand by my comments still - that is as bad as you will see.they didn’t turn up and were not even third best.

We created enough chances to win at Wigan?
Think you were at a different game to me

Go back and watch it, some glaring misses in that second half
