Could be something like this
                            Clark

             Byrne.         Pearson.       McGrath

    Bailey.       Gotts.       Clifton             Senior

                    Molyneux                Lee

                                    Hanlan

I can’t get my head around it, either Bailey or Moly is gonna be wasted at wing back. Why not put Sterry there if that’s what we’re doing?

Get head round it we have scored they've not had a shot and we are controlling midfield

Judging from the lack comments it seems that today's game is being sponsored by the Green Cookie Monster!

Looking ok midfield and up top but gee, McGrath is so bad. Not sure what he thinks about but commits himself constantly leaving us open

Deffo need a second whilst we are on top..

Not sure who is playing where but glad Hanlan is starting. It’s glaring we need a 9 up there and he’s the best we have like it or not.

I assumed it’d be Clifton playing wing back he has the energy but could be Moly. Bailey needs to play through the middle for me.

It’s very strange that he’s seemingly 1st choice no matter what.

i am listening to Radio Deedar commentary and they are making it sound like we are well on top with just an occasional break by Plymouth.

It's just demoralising from Rovers. A game we've completely dominated but our defense is awful. Zero organisation.

Do we have a defensive coach? (genuine question)

Excellent first half spoiled by some shite defending, Plymouth should have had two red cards, and then Senior gets a yellow for alledged time wasting

Played well for 45 mins but could have been 2-1 down at half time. Defending for the goal was so bad, didn't close down the cross, didn't win the first header, let a man stroll in round the back.

But, formation looks better, giving us loads more going forward - we do look very nervous at the back though.

Barry Millar is co commentator on RS and he has consistently said that our central defenders are not dominant enough and that is what brought about the equaliser.
They also said that Plymouth should certainly have had a player sent off.

McGrath is not up to this league, he even managed to take it off the toe of Elliot Lee when he was just lining up another volley

Typical poor rovers defending for goal by argyle, don’t close down crosses and make the same mistakes week after week.

Grant has said, Cliff and Barry Richardson are defensive minded and there is Kyle the keeper coach, whereas Copps n Grant are attack minded

Not a sending off for me,although he does catch him shin high but no force in the challenge which is why I reckon the ref only gives Edward’s a yellow

This coupled with McGrath starting nearly every game and it’s no surprise we’ve shipped as many goals as we have.

Our goal difference doesn’t lie. Been awful all season defensively and it's never been addressed. It has the potential to send us down.

I'm afraid we are staring at swift return to the basement. It's basically defending that let's us down week after week.

Is it McGraths fault that despite having 10 attempts in the first half we only scored one.?

It’s the team that has got us 3 points above the relegation places, not just the one player.

Do you remember the pile on TLT got for every mistake costing a goal? Why is McGrath above criticism? IMO he is the biggest reason for our appalling number of goals conceded. Garbage.

Senior best player for us. Poor from set pieces all game again, and we have no answer to Pepple.

I get f**ked off with fans picking on one player.  So what if he’s not been great.  It’s a team game FFS.

How many games have we had bags of chances but not put games to bed.?  Starting at Huddersfield.

It like we're not bothered about staying up FFS Zander kept us in with a penalty save but then just watched it go in the back of the net he won't be going to the world cup at this rate

Fix the center backs or we’re in trouble. Have to drop Bailey in there. I get we lose a bit in midfield but we’re never going to keep a clean sheet with the muppets we have in there

Only 2 shots on target doesn't help either, just really hope there are 4 teams worse than us
Title: Re: Plymouth Vs Rovers
Post by: steve@dcfd on March 07, 2026, 05:08:31 pm
We don't have the players good enough we try our best but it's not enough. We can't score enough goals in this league. It's going very hard in games we have left.
If we stay up can we really afford to improve these players onwards to two home games which eleven players are selected can we score to win the games. 15 shots only 2 on target today

Great effort from the team today, gutted for them & our supporters down there. Our defensive frailties let us down, but today has to be the bench mark for the remaining games. Senior is turning into our player of the season, excellent again today.

What about awful taking of chances yes we conceded 2 goals but if we had more clinical finishing we should have scored more

Why does McGrath always get the blame for everything? He didn't have a great game today but one player who definitely deserves criticism after that performance is McCann's favourite.......Molyneux. He was absolutely shite today and why does he never get substituted?
One on one he can't beat an egg and today his crossing was abysmal.

These players whoever they are have reached their ceiling they are to good for league two but not good enough to take us to mid table or above. We can criticise them but they just not good enough
