Last 20 league matches
P20 W16 D4 L0 GF46 GA12 PTS52 PPG2.60
That started just after they beat us in November. Ivwasnt that impressed with them that day. We were in poor form but Sharp missed a sitter at 0-0 and we we're the better side in the 2nd half.
But Christ what a run since then. You have to take your hat off to them.

It’s an incredible effort. They seem to go in front early every match.

Sharp didn’t miss a sitter, by the time it was under his control there were three defenders and a goalie between him and the goal. Good chance yes, sitter no.
Lincoln are on fire and a very similar sized club to us. Hopefully they are someone we can replicate.
-
It's reminiscent of our P15 W12 D3 spell in 2003. We'd come out every week like Tasmanian Devils. McIndoe, Leo, Blundell, Green, Raven hill in the defenders' faces from the kick off. One, often 2 early goals and the opposition were punch drunk after half an hour.
Our current side shows flashes of that, but we are a long way from being able to dominate matches over a long set of games.

And Street has been an ever present and big part of it! I bet they’re glad they turned down that £1m+ offer.
Like I said at the time, there aren’t many players like him about.
-
There NEVER was an offer in that region for him.

I beg to differ. Look at the two photos below. One showing the position when Sharp received the well-placed pass from Bailey. The other showing the position shortly afterwards, after Sharp had taken a good touch.
The Sharp from a year ago would have buried that, if not with his first touch, certainly once at the 18 yard line. He chose from there to cut back inside, and than as a result of that, had three defenders and the keeper in from of him.
-
Okoronkwo scored with a free header for them, and Gotts won it for Lincoln with an OG one minute after we had levelled. :crying:
-

Just fiction that he was worth a million quid.
-
They need 13 more points for promotion
-
Their promotion party could start a week a week on Saturday.
After they play us :chair:
-
I mean fair play to them but couldn't care less about Lincolns form, rather concentrate on ourselves!

Rob street celebrating promotion on our pitch again.
Just not with us :(

Then don't read a thread entitled "Lincoln Form". It's not hard.

Or I can post freely my opinion on a forum purely based on opinions…not hard BST

He’s outside the box, a defender already in the way and others sprinting back.
Undeniably a very good chance. I don’t agree it’s a sitter.

Lincoln play the game to their strengths in a simple organised way.
All energy and hard running, quick to get the ball forward to their big men up front and physically uncompromising in defence.

Thanks for letting us know

They have two American major shareholders. They did sell players in the summer but have used that money and extra to replace them. Breaking their transfer record twice. They have kept players like Street even when offered significant money in the summer. They play heir way it works score goals and defend well. It will take a major slump now for them not to be promoted.
-
Do you know what, I hope they get promoted. It sticks two fingers up at ex Prem teams with millions to spend and also offers hope for clubs of a similar size that if run properly, you can compete with "the bigger boys"
-
They’ve realised some decent money on player sales but this aside, are a very well run club. Last season wage bill of £7.5m on turnover of £8.4m, and season before £6.9m on £6.9m. They’ve run a fairly consistent operating loss of around £2.5m to £3m for a few seasons now, which is about same as us.
Their accounts btw are a model of transparency, whereas we publish nothing of any real
use for the football club.

Actually, Fal, it does have some significance to us, because all runs of form come to an end, and their run has been going for some time now.
It might just end round about the time we play them. Let's just hope.

Their CEO once upon a time worked for Rovers, Liam Scully. I used to travel to and from Sheffield with his father. He was proud that Liam was working for Rovers.
-
I believe they operate with a Sporting Director supported by a Head of Football Operations and a Talent ID Manager. They are a very well run club that are very fortunate to have a couple of wealthy owners. Fairly sure they are pretty data driven on the recruitment side as well.

One of my group said on Saturday that Lincoln might be playing Spurs in league games next season.
-
It will be an exceptional achievement when they win the title with a relentless run and will to win games. Both they and Cardiff are Streets ahead, starting with the clean sheets.
-
Be nice if we pooped on their promotion party, by beating them at the Eco.
-
Have they had any previous games this season PP due to international call ups? Might be one at risk if so..
