Hey guys,
I've spent the last 2 weeks in a hospital bed in DRI and have a long road ahead of me so won't be making it to any games for a while.
But I'm still following Rovers virtually and it's great to see us hitting a bit of form exactly when we need it. Especially yesterday, I probably would have been there as Barnsley is one of my favourite away days.
My dad has renewed our season tickets as something to look forward to in the hope that I get to use mine again.
I'm not as active as I once was on here, and I've hardly spoken to any of you in real life, but I've been on here a long time and see you as my extended Rovers family so woke up this morning just wanting to share this with you.
Got a nice video message from Bailey last week wishing me well with my treatment. Obviously he wouldn't know the first thing about me, but it was another classy touch from a classy club.
Just another reason I'm Rovers Til I Die
Kyle

It is nice to hear that Rovers are still doing their bit for the Rovers community, especially the players.
-
All the best Kyle, hopefully you'll be back regularly next season in league 1.
-
All the best, hope you recover, from whatever is wrong with you, spent 10 days in there myself last August, my ipad was a godsend
-
All the best Kyle, hope you're back soon. We'll cheer the boys on for you, in the meantime.
-
All the best and good luck with the treatment Superspy - Rovers need all the fans we can get!

Thanks guys. I was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia a week or so after my 39th birthday. Treatment is gonna be rough, and I'm going to be here for a while, but I've got age and general fitness on my side so I'm fighting with everything I've got right now.

Stay strong and positive Kyle and hopefully see you back at home games next season. You do seem to have the right attitude and I’m sure that helps when fighting ailments.

Thank you all. Really appreciate the kind messages of support. It all helps.

Best wishes to you. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Adding my own best wishes Kyle. Had my own trouble in Feb last year and was staggered ( but not totally surprised ) to get a Get Well Soon Card signed by all the Squad last year
I lost a Kidney to a 5 cm big tumour and I put my " recovery " down to luck but more importantly that Card
Seriously the people on here who I told were and still are following my progress and checking every so often that all is still well and hopefully the messages of support you have received on this Thread will be a great boost stronger than any drugs on your road to recovery .
I'm very roughly twice your age and have seen Rovers in good times and thin times so aim high and go for my age or really dream on reaching BB and SS.
You can do it ... COYR

Cheeky bugger! Sorry, Superspy, I mean Wolfie, not you!
Being one of the younger "Old'uns" on here, perhaps Wolfie took mine and Scawsby Steve's combined age and divided it by two to get that target!
-
Good positive attitude Superspy, sending you best wishes on you're recovery.
-
Best wishes and hope you get back to celebrating better times at the Rovers soon..
-
Best wishes superspy. Keep your chin up and you will soon be back cheering on the rovers from the stands.
