the rhythm of our drum is beating round the ground

viva martin woods
5. for the wednesday
i went to see the wednesday de de de
to see what i could see see see
but all that i could see see see was the bottom of the football league league league!
6. Oh me lads, you should've seen us gannin,
Passing the folks along the road,
And all of them were starin,
All the lads and lasses there,
They all had smilin faces,
Gannin along the alick jeffery way,
To see john ryans aces
thats all i got so far but cant do any harm to wat has been a dreadful if im honest atmosphere this season, like you have all said before its because everyones scattered but its all about people knowing the songs so they can sing sing em repeatedly for long periods and people will get to know them dont give in so easily wen no ones joins bang the drum twice as hard sing twice as loud and surely the rest will follow and the same goes for the club anthem which wouldnt have been my first choice ya gotta keep trying with it and get em to play it wen all the bums are on seats not ten mins before kick off! To the tune of Anfield Road:
All round the fields of Bawtry Road,
Where once we saw the Sir Franny play (and could he play),
We had Macca on the wing,
We had dreams and songs to sing,
About the glory and the Fields of Bawtry Road.
-
here`s one we used to sing but with different words
he dos`nt put the effort in
he dos`nt put the effort in
sorry to bitch
could aply to tuesdays crowd also but all in all considering the team available
it wasn`t a boring game
-
i was hoping for abit of a positive feedback, were supposed to be a team on the up yet the majority of people on ere seem very negative is this always the case or is it due to losing one game, we dont expect to win every game all of us wish we could but it not goin to happen, new songs can help ive seen plenty of suggestions in other posts only a couple have ever been used

I vote this, its a really good song when liverpool sing, so hopefully we could maybe get this one going.

I like the Man Utd, Wes Brown offering. In a similar vein to the Jason Shackell song, how about a reflective piece on this weeks events.
He's Welsh, He's mad, He's John Oster
Likes a beer more than Steve Foster
With a rifle in his hand
Beware
Come and have a go it you dare.
-

come on everybody memorise the words for tuesdays game lets have it really bouncing against the fowls and sing the lads on to victory, history in the making again as we have never recorded a double against the fowls in a season lets make sure they know we are there
-
In the West Stand we've been singing a song for Billy, a few people have caught on, but if we could get it going, it'd be awesome:
My heart's not with the Blades he said,
Billy, Billy,
He beat the Wednesday with his head,
Billy, Billy,
He jumped in to the Rovers fans to piss off all the Scunny fans
Billy Sharp is Rovers' number 5
na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na (you know the drill...)

hopefully he will score 2mrw night and we can really get it going then most people will know how the song goes just case of learning the words

I am a Belle Vue Boy and that is all I'll ever be!
Untill some Keepmoat B*stards took my ground away from me!
We've still got all the Passion and We're still DRFC
As the Reds go marching on on on!
My eyes have seen glory and my heart has felt the pain
When Richardson was here I Thought we'd never play again
But after 50 years were in the championship again
As the Reds go marching on on on!
